Anne and Sasha really didn’t hold Marcy back yeah she could have been the youngest college grad but she doesn’t seem to care the finale makes it seem like she didn’t even go to college and is just an artist she doesn’t care about school like op said she didn’t try even if she went to college early she probably wouldn’t be stressed but she probably wouldn’t be happy. There is also the problem of her having a d in gym which would have probably been a problem.
I just realized something. We know that Marcy’s one of if not the smartest character in Amphibia. She gets straight A’s without even trying, learns about other cultures because she got BORED and was interested in them, learned the basics of alchemy before she even met Maddie, studied amphibian biology, could hack into moderately secure areas like the PA system at SJMS, and beat the King of Amphibia in a game that she JUST figured out how to play after a while of living in the castle. Marcy’s gift of intelligence is an understatement. I mean, she easily could’ve skipped a couple grades and graduate early, but she didn’t. And that’s because of two people. Anne and Sasha! They… for a lack of better wording, they were holding her back. Marcy was so obsessed with the two of them, she genuinely can’t imagine a life without them in it, even when they constantly ignore and neglect her needs. Heck, I’m sure her parents even tried convincing her to move up a grade, but at the end of the day, Marcy would have the final say and she’d say no because she wanted to be with her BFFs. Which is awful in itself because nobody should sacrifice the possibility of great things happening to them for someone else! I’m fucking sure Marcy could’ve absolutely obliterated the World Record for youngest college grad if she really wanted to.
Marcy must be really gay if she’s willing to go that far for Anne and Sasha.

Just because I like this website doesn’t mean I also like posing stuff on here. But I have to make up for my lack of activity somehow, so take some stupid crap I’ve made since the last time I’ve posted. ( most of which are sloppy for my standards. )
1st drawing is an unfinished work of Marcy Wu art, I lost motivation and didn’t like the direction it was going. 2nd drawing is my character design for some guys OC named Doris. 3rd drawing was something fun I did for Spooky Month / Halloween. 4th drawing is paper art I did of some FNAF hoaxes, which I did for fun and no other reason ( if you know, you know ). That’s about all worth sharing, I might rebrand my Tumblr a little bit in the future. But until then, see y’all next year most likely? So Long, & Goodbye
I drew Marcy because of course I would. This drawing really took me out of my comfort zone, and took me +9 hours to finish. I’m very happy with the result! :D

Marcy savoured the moment. She caressed the Box, her birthright, allowing her bloodied fingers to trace the outlines of the intricate designs that decorated the exterior. The power that radidated from it was intoxicating. This must have only been a fraction of what her ancestors felt.
She started pressing the gems in the correct order that would shut down the portal. Regarding the horror stricken human and frogs with a deranged cheshire cat grin that stretched from ear to ear, Marcy rocked her head back and forth. An inhuman giggling fit shook her rib cage.

Calamity Plushie Trio Re-Do
Decided to redo them all since I started with redoing Marcy hm, anywho to cut it short If you at bought marcy or Sasha you will still be getting the redesign so please don't worry! These plushies are going to be 30cm tall and are ready for pre orders except for Anne at the moment. They have a lot more details now since they re going to be bigger and better. :)

I've been making new types of plush designs sleeping ones! If you follow me I did a Marcy Wu one I'll post that and the progress later. Here is Darcy! it looks so adorable,if you noticed I added the fluff on the cape to add in that extra softness, if you are interested in this lmk! (Keep in mind this is going to be a pillow like plush, super soft and stretchy, around 45cm) I really love how I turned out, well sorta, I hate the bodyish but the eyes and face are adorable. But, my manufactureres know exactly what to do so I dont or you have to worry about it. Anywho, responses are GREATLY appreciated. 🖤

Finally done, this took a while cause I wanted to get the shading just right for me. YES I LOVE MY GRAINY TEXTURES!!! ARGHHH!!! Anywho, This MIGHT turn into a standee, I do not know. Frankly, I want to draw her with her D20 dice and made that a standee to sell.

We all saw true colors and we all cried
And those who didn't immediately went to google to see if Marcy lives
... But the way I found out was scrolling through channels looking to see what to watch, I scroll to Disney XD as true colors is playing
... I watched sprig get thrown off the tower... At midnight... In front of my brother... And I was about 3/4ths done with season 1
That's my new evil backstory
Thinking about how the trio all have separate and distinctive ways of coping with pain and trauma. Sasha gets angry, Marcy escapes (physically or mentally), and Anne represses. They literally represent fight, flight, and freeze.
Simon Petrikov VS Marcy Wu
So like, Anne, Mary, and Sasha are often shown in their stone colors, right? Not really-
Heart=blue
Strength=pink
Wit=green
Obviously they wear their colors pretty often(for Sasha and Marcy its even their school uniform)But not always. Very often we see them in adjacent colors-
Sasha wears a lot of red(a more intense version of pink= a /lot/ of "strength") Marcy's Amphibia outfit has a ton of blue(she's following her heart more than her head) And Anne doesn't even wear blue that often- she wears a lot purple, including her school uniform(also in the intro she not wearing any blue, but her shirt has pink and her shoes have purple). Also, purple is a mix of blue and pink.
So what am I getting at? Well, think about the towers:
1st, we've got wit(green) which wasn't even about being as smart as possible but about having humility(heart)so- blue.
Then the 2nd, heart(blue), which again wasn't about having as much heart as possible but having responsibility(strength + heart), so- purple.
The 3rd, strength(pink), as we know, doesn't have the same rules as the other two- it IS about being as strong as possible, hence intense pink=red.
Of course there some important scenes we should take a look at, scenes where the girls(as a trio) wore their respective colors(or similar ones). To my memory that includes: the flashback to when they met, the dinner, and "No Big Deal".
Sasha is wearing pink!(and some blue) she's showing a classic strength but also is being pretty caring. Anne is in all purple, save for her yellow sneakers- she's heart and (emotional) strength through and through- which makes sense since she's really the linchpin to their whole group as we see in this flashback.
Marcy is wearing almost nothing but green- she doesn't really do that much(separate from Anne) but we can take this whole scene as a display of their dynamic so it makes sense for marcy to be all wit(she does have a pink bobble in her hair and blue crocs but regardless).
Next, the dinner:
Sasha is wearing a lot of, not pink, but red. The blue and green flower is literally over her heart- but its also completely surface level- she's got her "heart" visible but it could easily be removed(this fits how she acts in this episode pretty well).
Anne and Marcy are wearing adjacent colors as well, Anne is in purple and Marcy is in turquoise, Anne is pulled into a compromise with Sahsa this episode and has to put aside her heart to do so(see: Sasha not wanting to be a better person so Anne doesn't try to force it), Marcy also takes Annes side a few times, like pointing out why they stopping doing everything Sasha's way.
(What i get from their colors in this episode has more to do with their connections to eachother rather than to their stones-)
Now, battle of the bands:
This ones just before the finale so other symbolism is at play(see: butterflies, dragonflies, etc.) But this about their colors so-
Marcy is once again decked out in almost nothing but green except some purplish blush- she's not Marcy Wu, she's Marcy, Anne and Sasha's friend, just like in the flashback of when they all met Marcy mostly stays out of the spotlight and avoids playing middleman through out this whole episode.
Anne is in primarily blue! She shows a ton of heart but she really trys to have a freindship with Sasha, thus plenty of shades of purple are present(She also shows that emotional strength when she sticks up for herself against Sasha).
Finally, we've got Sasha, in, again, red. At the time she plans and puts on this outfit she's pretty firmly away from the other girls so, just like her armor, she wears red, black, etc.
All of this is purely me digging -randomly- into things that maybe aren't so deep for fun soooo, not an actual analysis or anything, but I'm still pretty happy with it-
