Me: *Living for Neteyam patting Lo'ak's head*
(Gif credits to me)
I think some people overlook the fact that most of the main characters in Avatar: the Way of Water are younger than they look.
This man is 15. Neteyam is 15. DOES HE LOOK 15 TO YOU? i mean hey- im 15 too, im not complaining, but he really doesn't look it lol
Lo'ak is 13/14 (there's some debate). He looks 16/17, but nooooo, he's FOURTEEN (at most)
Kiri? she's 14 too
Tsireya is 13
Aonung is 15.
Do Na'vi just look really mature for their ages? LOL The only child main character of this movie that looks her age is Tuk (She's 6/7)
“hey Dad, watch this!!”
@be-the-glenn-to-my-maggie hope u don’t mind that I animated your post because you are SO right 😭

I read "The Lie of Providence" and I loved the sibling dynamic that Reader and the kids had, do you think you could please write a little spinoff of all of them (including Spider, of course) doing... the typical chaotic and fun things that all siblings do? 😅
Hello! So sorry for the late reply! I'm still trying to figure out something wholesome to write! In the meantime, please enjoy this absolute nonsense I made in a single evening!

The sound of rain pulls you from slumber. The air is thick and humid this morning. You breath deep, the salty air filling your lungs, wiping away the last dregs of sleep.
Your beloved is not beside you; ever the early morning riser that one. Neither are the twins nor Spider, you notice.
With a groan you slowly sit yourself up, having to exert more effort than usual. Once up, your hand moves to the swell of your belly. Shouldn’t be too long now before this one joins your ever-growing little family. You estimate you have about 2 months to go.
You open your home to allow the fresh air in. You reach out to gather some of the cool summer rainwater in your hands, splashing it on your face. You light a small fire in the pit, then set about preparing some meats to cook for breakfast. While those sizzle, you then prepare some fresh fruit that had been left outside your doorstep; the clan often leave you things as their way of helping, knowing you’re due almost any day now.
“Somethin’ smells good,” your ear perk up at the sound of Miles’ voice.
“Good morning, husband,” you greet but don’t turn around. You don’t have to, because before you finish speaking, his arms are already around you. His hot breath tickles the back of your neck as he leaves soft kisses there.
“How’re my best girls this morning?” his hands gently cup the swell of your belly, gently swaying the two of you to some unheard tune. He presses his chest to your bare back, the cool wet skin of his sends a delicious shiver down your spine.
“Oh? And how do you know we are not blessed with more sons?” You smile at him over your shoulder.
“Father’s intuition sweetheart,” He leans to the side presses a quick kiss to your lips. He pulls back, pressing the side of his face to yours as he peers over your shoulder as you continue preparing fruit.
You hum thoughtfully at his words. You wouldn’t mind having a daughter. Or two. Eywa have mercy if you have another set of twins. Speaking of your children…
“Where are the boys?”
“Spider took them swimming, they’re at the heated pools in the jungle.” You make a noncommittal noise in acknowledgement.
“You know…with the kids busy, we have a little time to ourselves right now…” his hands travel from your belly, slowly tracing the length of your arms, before his hands rest in the crook of your neck. He starts massaging the base of your head with his thumbs. Your eyes close at the pleasurable sensation, moaning unexpectedly.
“You’re insatiable, you know that?” You tease him with a side eyed look. He grins down at you, eyes glazed over with desire. His gaze alone sends a pleasurable throb straight down to your core.
“Can’t help it darlin’. Seeing you like this, all big, belly swollen, and knowin’ it’s cuz of me? It does somethin’ to a man,” he bites the tip of your ear, and you let out an involuntary whimper; he knows all of your erogenous zones, and they become far more sensitive during pregnancy.
“Show me then my love, show me what I do to you.”
---
He has you trapped between his legs. Your back pressed to his chest as you lean back, head resting on his shoulder as you gasp between moans.
Your legs are draped over his thighs, keeping you spread. One hand gently massages the flesh of your breast, fingers occasionally pinching your pert nipple.
His other hand is busy at your core, 3 fingers deftly working their way in an out of your warm centre, making filthy squelches with each thrust. Your arousal coats his fingers and your thighs in inviting wetness. You are more than ready for him. But he loves playing with you, especially when you are at his mercy.
He removes his middle finger, bringing it to your clit, rubbing the sensitive bud in your slick. His finger glides over with ease thanks to your gushing nectar.
“Oh fuck…Miles right there—YES!” Your voice is breathless as you beg him for release; the pleasure coursing through you burning hotter as you approach the precipice of desire.
He returns his fingers to your inviting warmth, your walls sucking him in greedily. His fingers meet no resistance with how wet you are. He fucks his fingers into you faster this time, the palm of hand slapping against your clit, sending you further into the throws of passion. The symphony of your pleasure comes crashing down on you; the orgasm hitting you with a resounding crescendo. A rough press to your clit has you squirting much to yours and his delight.
“That’s it baby, you always perform so well for me.” Miles whispers into your ear, nipping at the nape of your neck. The feeling of your inviting walls clenching around his fingers sends blood straight to his hardened aching cock.
This was always the ritual. Always would he bring you to glorious orgasm, before chasing his own pleasure. Even if the two of you had an argument, falling into something in line with hate sex, he made sure to prepare you well. No matter what, you were always at the forefront of his mind.
You rest your entire weight against him, chest heaving with each laboured breath. Your skin is sticky with sweat, pussy throbbing, your release leaking all over the floor. You feel Miles’ hardness press into your lower back. He presses a kiss to your shoulder.
“Do you need a minute?” He asks ever to tenderly.
“For you my love? Never.” You turn yourself as much as you can, arms reaching for him. He understands what you want, immediately turning you to him. He pulls your arms around his neck, securing his behind your back, then crashing his lips to yours.
The kiss is bruising. He sucks on your lips, pressing his tongue to yours, drinking you in greedily as though you were destined to fade. He swallows the moan you release into his mouth. His hand moves to the base of your queue and he pulls you back.
Your eyes are mystified, glazed over from residual pleasure, but alight once more at the promise you see in his own eyes. They are dark with want, pupils dilated with heady need. He licks his teeth as he studies your face, a smirk forming on his lips.
He stands up, pulling you with him. You watch him curiously as he moves elsewhere, searching; there is an amusing flick of the tail when he finds it. He holds the item triumphantly in the air before coming back to you.
Ah. Rope.
He always did love restraints.
“You trust me, sweetheart?” You scoff, almost offended he needs to ask you for umpteenth time.
“Since our first night in the Dream my love. Always and forever.” Your smile is matched by his own.
“Hold your hands up, behind your head.” You do as instructed. The rope this not too thick, black and woven with expertise only a machine could craft. It was something you brought with you all those years ago. You figured it would be most useful; nothing hand crafted had yet matched it in quality. What you hadn’t expected was for your mate to use it in such, creative ways. Not that you complain; you were of course more than delighted to engage in his fantasies.
He fastens your wrists together tightly. The length is then wound around your neck, dropping between your breasts before he loops it around your mounds. It lowers through your cleavage and around the back; always he keeps it away from your belly. He nudges your legs apart. The rope is then wrapped around each hip and thigh.
He moves behind you then, pulling your fastened hands behind his head. His hands roam over you in reverence, from the swell of your breasts, to the expanse of your thighs, not a single inch of skin is left unworshipped. He gives the rope a final tug to make sure all is secure.
He kisses the side of your temple, and you feel him take a hold of your queue, joining it with his own. The low guttural moan he makes sends a spark of pleasure down your spine, straight to your cunt. You feel yourself becoming slick once more, not that you need even more prepping in the first place.
He grabs the rest of the rope in his right hand, before wrapping it around your front, nestling his arm between your breasts. He lowers his left hand until it reaches the back of your knee. You know without having to be told, and lift your leg. He holds your leg up as far as you can stretch; you are thankful to be so pliable after all these years. The position has your now aching core wide open, glistening in the fire light as you leak down your own leg.
You let out a soft moan as you feel the hardness of his naked cock rub against your slit, coating himself in your prior release. He lines himself up with your entrance, his head just breaching the opening.
“I love you, [Y/N],” he whispers into your ear before he buries himself in you to the hilt with one hard thrust. The sudden stretch burns in a delightful way, you hope you never get used to his size. You can’t help the sudden yelp of moan.
“Fucking hell baby, you’re so wet. And it’s all for me. My perfect little mate, with her perfect little cunt.”
The filth of his words causes a whimper to fall from your lips, but your walls clentch the scorching member inside you. Miles lets out a shaking laugh laced with pleasure.
“Pretty little thing you are. Always. So. Fucking. Perfect!” Each word is punctured with a hard thrust in and out of you. His long cock caressing the soft spongy flesh of your walls, finding that special spot that drives you wild and beyond reason. Greedily your walls clamp around him, begging his release and your own.
“You like that, darling? You’re always such a needy bitch in heat. Like it when your mate talks to you like that, huh?” He pulls on the rope, tightening the restraints all around you. The skin under the rope becoming warmer and reddening. You let out a straggled cry, mouth agape, you let your head fall back onto his shoulder.
The pleasure mounting in you growing with every passing moment. Your hands find purchase on his braid, holding on tight. He groans into your ear, the sound somewhere between a moan and a growl. It reverberates through your bones, to know your mate is so in the throes of pleasure, stokes fire in your own belly; your arousal covering his own.
He grabs your other leg, and suddenly you are hoisted into the air. You yelp with surprise, but he holds you firm. His pace is relentless, still thrusting up into your welcoming heat. Such display of strength only spurs you on further. There comes a dull ache in your legs from the strain of being held up, but also the tightness of the rope cutting into your joints.
The pain and pleasure mix wonderfully, pulling you over the edge and into your waiting orgasm. You moan loudly, almost a scream, Miles’ name spills from your lips in high pitch mewls. He doesn’t stop, fucking you through your orgasm to another, causing your to squirt all over his cock.
Tears flow freely from your eyes at the overstimulation, but by the Great Mother does it feel heavenly. Your ecstasy assaults him through the bond, finally sending him over the edge. His mouth bites down hard into your shoulder as he cums, shooting his seed up into your inviting warmth. Your walls clench him greedily, milking him till he is spent. There is a falter in his legs, you can almost feel the strain in his arms as he tries to keep you up as his pleasure wracks him to the core.
Finally though, he gently lowers you to the ground, falling onto his knees once your feet are firmly planted. You use him as leverage, lowering yourself before him. He rests his head to your shoulder, hands immediately finding your belly, resting them there.
Time passes slowly, filled with the smell of your sex and the sound of your joint laboured breaths. Slowly, Miles starts removing the rope from your person, throwing it somewhere out of sight once done. You collapse into his embrace once more, turning to your side as you lean against him. He cradles you in his arms, pressing delicate kisses to your hair.
You feel hot and sticky, but thoroughly fucked. You couldn’t be happier, tail wrapping around you both.
“You okay?” He asks, always, after any session in which he ties you up. His hands find your wrists, gently massaging the bruised skin.
“Always my love. Just a little worn out.” You close your eyes and lean into him more, never wanting this feeling to end. This peace and tranquillity.
---
Your mind drifts to the day, nearly 5 years ago, when you first landed on the island.
The Olo'eyktan and Tsahik came to greet you, as well as many members of the clan. They were surprised to see forest people; some never having seen any before. They gawked and stared unashamedly. They were more surprised though, by Spider’s presence. A Sky People child, painted with stripes, dressed in forest garb? What a spectacle!
The Tsahik had hissed when she caught sight of him, demanding that you take the Demon Child back from where you found it.
With great restraint you held your tongue, explaining instead that you cannot and would not go back. You wanted no part in the war with the Sky People, and neither did your mate. All you wanted was uturu. Some place far away from conflict. You explained that the Human boy, was in fact your mate's son, just without an Avatar body.
She was taken aback then, but grabbed your hand, noting the four fingers. She declared you too were of Demon blood, not true Na’vi. None of you were. Why should they let you stay? You looked to the Olo'eyktan then, pleading with your eyes. You gestured to Spider, saying that if he could adapt to live amongst Forest Na’vi, then you could all adapt, that you will adapt.
The Tsahik scoffed, walked around you three to inspect your tails. She stopped abruptly behind your mate, staring at his back. Her hand came to rest on the space between his shoulders. You saw the tenseness in his shoulders, wrapping his tail around his leg, hands clenched. He sends you a worried look, but you shrug, unsure of what she was doing.
You see her brows furrow. She removes her hand then, like she has been burnt, before returning to her mate’s side. She speaks low to him.
“That one, has been touched by Eywa.” The Olo'eyktan’s head shoots up as he stares at Miles, then looks back down to his mate for clarity.
“Touched?” He asks in shocked whisper. She clicks her tongue, annoyed at the events unfolding before her.
“Yes. Touched. Whether literal or spiritual, I cannot say for sure. But it is there. I feel it.” She squints at Miles, wholly distrusting of his person.
‘By the stars themselves, what could the Great Mother possibly have seen in this one?’ she thinks to herself.
“What of the boy? How will he live amongst us, if he cannot breathe our air?” The Tsahik gestures to Spider, who has been standing beside you awkwardly. You put a comforting hand around his shoulder, pressing him closer into your side.
“You need not worry. This Sky People-made mask will keep him safe.” You tap the mask gently. You’re not sure how much these people know of Human technology, but you don’t explain further. You send a silent thank you to Norm, Max and all the other scientists back home.
Just before your departure, you had decided Spider could not come with, intent to leave him behind, no matter how much it broke your heart. There would be no feasible way to replenish his oxygen packs supply. But Eywa smiled upon you. The humans, the engineers they were called, came forth with a new designed mask. It did not need oxygen packs like the old ones, instead filtered the air itself for safe breathing. It worked underwater too. It was sturdier too, strong as Na’vi bones they boasted.
Her eyes roam over you, then Spider, than up to your mate. She questions then, what skills you Forest folk could possibly bring to their shores. Your mate steps forward then, proudly stating he is a warrior, willing to fight anyone to prove his worth. The Olo'eyktan holds up his hand, stating that it wasn’t necessary, at least not yet.
The Tsahik’s eyes rake over you again, making you feel self-conscious. You see her gaze linger on your chest and your hips.
“You…Your patterns are of Forest folk, but your body is not.” It is more so a statement than a question, but demands an answer all the same.
“You are correct, Tsahik. My mother was true born Na’vi, of the Omatikaya clan. My father is…like my mate. Born of the Sky People.” She makes a disgruntled noise, but says nothing else.
After a moment of silence, she looks back up at her mate, and gives him the faintest of nods.
The Olo'eyktan announces then, that you three are welcome and are to be treated like their brothers and sisters. He warns them to be gentle with the Human, try not to gawk at him too much as there was still a village to look after. You thank him profusely, tears threating to fall at corner of your eyes. His smile is warm and welcoming, and the relief you feel is near palpable.
---
You and Miles decide to pack the food into a basket and bring it to the children. As the two of you are making your way along the beach to the path that would lead into the jungle, you are greeted by the sight of your two young sons running at you, Spider taking up the rear in a slow jog.
“Mama! Papa!” They yell in unison, arms outstretched as they crash into your legs.
“Good morning my little starlights! And to you too Spider, thank you so much for taking such good care of them,” You pick up Rawm as Miles does Taxun. Spider smiles up at the both of you, out of breath from the run.
“It’s no trouble [Y/N]. I already know what it’s like to have younger brothers.” He takes note of the basket Miles is holding, helping himself to the fruit inside. Your smile becomes a little sad at the memory of your family. You don’t have time to dwell on it though, as the kids notice Spider eating and immediately demand to be fed.
And so the 5 of you sit on the nearby rocks in the shade, enjoying the meats and fruits. It doesn’t last long, as the twins eat far too fast for your liking, before they start pulling Spider toward the ocean, wanting to swim in the cool water now that the sun was out. He of course obliges without fuss, and you giggle as you watch them splash about in the water.
The sun hangs high in the sky now, midday you presume. You enjoy the cool breeze kissing your skin, and the soft caress of your husband as he traces the glowing freckles on your back.
You are quiet, but there is gentleness in your eyes, a soft smile on your lips.
“Whatcha lookin’ at sweetheart?” Miles asks you, and you keep your eyes forward, smile widening.
“Our future.” Your voice is soft as the sand between your toes.
He hums in agreement, and kisses your check.
“Yeah…me too.”
---
You’re not sure how much time passes, perhaps not even an hour, when you here your name being called. You look to see the Olo'eyktan’s daughter coming to you hastily.
Your heart skips a beat at her urgency.
“[Y/N]! You must come quick! Follow me!”
“What’s wrong? What’s going on?”
“Did you not hear the horns?!” She asks as she speeds off, expecting you to follow. You look to your mate, both of you have a confused expression. Neither of you heard it, too engrossed in watching your family. The kids probably didn’t hear anything amongst their own yelling and playing.
Quaritch whistles to the kids, who all immediately cease their frivolity, and run back to you two. Miles wordlessly grabs both twins in his strong arms, and you hand Spider the now empty basket. You make your way back as fast as you can waddle, explaining to the kids along the way.
---
You see an unexpected amount of people gathered at the front beach, though you can’t quite make out what’s going on.
You hear the whispers and murmurs of the clan, strangers they say; visitors.
You and Miles share a concerned look as you make your way forward. A sound carries on the wind, a bellow of a creature; and you know that sound anywhere.
Ikran.
Your heart starts pounding in your chest, your mind running a mile a minute. You don’t even think as you start forcefully pushing your way through the crowed, flanked by Miles still holding the twins and Spider.
“What’s going on Papa?” Rawm asks, clutching onto his father tightly.
You don’t hear his response as you finally make your way out front, seeing the backs of your Olo'eyktan and Tsahik.
You vaguely note the 5 ikran poised on the sand, looking none too pleased.
And when you see the Na’vi visitors talking to your Olo'eyktan, tears well in your eyes, and you let out a straggled cry.
“Sanctuary for my—” The visiting man's voice cuts short when he hears your cry, immediately finding your gaze. His eyes widen at the sight of you, flicking to your swollen belly for a split second, before coming back to your face. He lets out a shaky laugh, a grin splitting his face.
The woman at his side looks at him confused, before following his line of sight. Your eyes meet, and she falls to her knees, covering her mouth as she cries, tears streaming down her face.
You approach them slowly, not caring for the stares of the clan, nor the poignant look Tsahik Ronal is sending you.
You stand before your parents.
“Hello mother. Hello father. Oel ngati kameie.”
Neytiri jumps to her feet, wrapping in her arms tightly. Her cries burn your ears but you don’t care. They are matched only by your own. You feel your fathers arms wrap around you two, and you swear by the Great Mother, that this was perhaps the first time you’ve ever heard him cry. Your four siblings rush at you too, scrambling to get you into an embrace of their own.
You hear the tell-tale sigh of your Tsahik, and the low chuckle of Olo'eyktan Tonowari.
“I guess you have a lot of catching up to do, no?” He turns to the clan and addresses them. “Treat Jake Sully and his family as our brothers and sisters, just as you did with those who came before.” He calls for his eldest son and daughter, instructing them to teach Jake and his family just as they had taught you.
Your family untangles from one another, though your parents still have their hands on your shoulders. You take each of their hands in your own.
“[Y/N], I—”
“Hush, mother. Before you say anything, you too father, there is someone, two actually, you should meet first…” You pull them towards Miles. You turn your head to your siblings, gesturing with your head for them to follow too. You feel them tense, and a falter in their step. You gently squeeze their hands, releasing a shaking breath when you feel them squeeze back.
“Oel ngati kameie, Jake and Neytiri.” Miles says with perfect annunciation. They don’t say anything, but gesture to him with their hands. They are far too in shock, eyes instead focused on the two boys in his arms.
“Mom, dad, siblings…I’d like you to meet my sons, Rawm and Taxun,” you gesture to your boys accordingly, letting go of your parents hands, nervously threading your own fingers together in front of you.
You hear your siblings greet them with little waves, introducing themselves as their aunts and uncles. The boys are shy, and barely greet them back with tiny voices. Kiri runs to Spider, pulling him into a wordless hug as she cries into his shoulder.
“Hey kiddos, it’s nice to meet you. I’m your grandpa, Jake,” You father smiles at them big and goofy, tail swaying with joy.
“Pa Jake?” Rawm asks, bringing tears to the edge of your fathers eyes. He lets out a shaky laugh and nods.
“Yeah, that’s right. I’m your mama’s papa. Just like this man, is your papa.” He pats Miles on the shoulder, and the two share a look. You can see so much unspoken words exchange between them, Miles lowering his ears submissively. But your father gives him a kind smile. You can see in your mates eyes, even as he returns the smile, there is a hint of guilt there.
Your son surprises you then, reaching for your father, who happily takes him into his arms, smile widening.
You look to your mother then; filled with trepidation at her reaction. All of your anxiety shatters when you see her smile your boys.
“Hello little ones. I am your grandmother Neytiri. Your mama’s mama…” She wipes away a stray tear, and happily takes Taxun when he reaches for her.
She gently rocks him, patting his back with practiced ease. Your heart swells at the sight of your parents holding their grandchildren.
Neytiri’s eyes lift from your son then, to meet your mate’s gaze head on. She stares at him, studying him, but he doesn’t break the eye contact. She closes her eyes, and takes a deep breath, exhaling through her mouth. She opens her eyes and fixes him with a determined look.
“Oel ngati kameie, Miles Quaritch.” She nods to him, hand gesturing towards him in the proper greeting. “Thank you…for taking care of my daughter.”
His eyes widen at her words, and she smiles up at him, though it is small, as she hugs your son to her a little more tightly.
“Oel ngati kameie, [Y/N], my daughter…I am so happy, to see you, alive and well.” She touches a hand to your belly briefly, before returning to pat your sons back. “You too Spider…I am, pleased, to see you are doing well.”
Spider gives her a shy smile and a nod. Your brothers flank him, poking his sides and remarking on his larger frame, toned by years of swimming.
“Oel ngati kameie, mother, father, siblings. Welcome to our family.”
Everyone comes together, embracing in one giant hug, with you and Miles at the centre.
“Wherever we go, our family is our Fortress.” You father says.
“Sullys stick together,” Neteyam adds.
“And now, Quaritches too.” Your mother says, and with that, the dam breaks.
You cry tears of joy, safely nestled in the embrace of your family.
You couldn’t be happier.

The weeks that followed could only be described as uncomfortable. Those of the clan gave you and Quaritch a wide berth. You did not miss their obvious sneers, nor the harsh whispers under their breath. Yet you cannot find it in yourself to fault them; such a reaction was more than understandable, perhaps even warranted.
The humans were far more courteous, even those with Avatars; but they too kept it to what was minimal etiquette. You noticed though, that they were far more cordial with the other recoms. You watched them converse with each other, animatedly talking about something or rather. It made you envious, a feeling you knew all too well.
Quaritch tells you not to worry; says it doesn’t bother him. But you wondered how much weight such words truly held. You’re thankful he and the recoms at least have each other, as bittersweet as it was. On the nights where you would eat dinner with your family, he and his squad ate together in one of their dwellings; the night filled with reminiscing of lives past and wishes for the future. Their revelry is downright infectious, and you often excuse yourself early to join them. It fills your heart with unbridled warmth to see Spider with them too. More often than not he would also join when it was just you and Quaritch alone.
At one point you had gathered all your siblings together, sitting them down and giving them a less graphic (for Tuk’s benefit) retelling of you and your mate’s meeting and eventual courtship. Your brothers, bless them, treated you no different, told you that they didn’t care and were happy for you. When you cornered them afterwards to speak privately, you wept and wept, thanks spilling from your lips over and over again.
They reiterated once more that they were just happy you came back alive and well. Regardless of the less-than-ideal circumstances surrounding your introduction to one another, and his sordid history, they were simply happy you had found your one true mate. Moreover, as far as they were concerned, if Eywa herself deemed it necessary to get this involved in your lives, then she must see something in him. If she could forgive him for his sins, then who were they to hold it against him? He paid his price in blood.
Sweet little Tuk; everything that had happened was perhaps a little too big for such a young mind, but you tried to explain yourself as best as you can to such a young one. She hummed in thought, called you and your mate weird, but if he made you happy like dad makes mum happy, then he must be okay. She was also the only one of your siblings that wanted to actually speak with Quaritch face to face.
You were reluctant, afraid of how mother might react. But little Tuk is rambunctious in nature. She barged in one night when you and Quaritch were having dinner with Spider. Hands on her hips she proclaimed with unwavering authority,
“If you wanna be in my family, then first you gotta apologize!” Her eyes were fixated on Quaritch, who stared back at her with shock all over his face. When he didn’t immediately say anything she elaborated further.
“That time…When you took my big sister…You and those scary people hurt us, and that wasn’t very nice…” She frowned at him, eyes glistening.
When you looked to your mate you saw the guilt in his eyes, how his ears flattened and tail wrapped around his waist. He got to his knees, tried to make himself as small possible in an attempt to be closer to her eye level. And he apologized. He apologized for scaring her, for hurting her. But most of all, he was so sorry he took you. He doesn’t give her any excuses; simply admits he did something wrong and was sorry.
She nods at him, but says nothing else; though you see the tightness of her expression loosen. Spider walks over to her and ruffles her hair which makes her giggle.
“Here kid, I got a little somethin’ for ya,” Quaritch says and reaches into his pants pocket. He pulls out a small wooden carving of a pa'li. He holds out the tiny figurine balanced in the palm of his hand. Tuk’s eyes widen and she grabs it with a loud thank you. She holds it up to her face, turning it around to admire it.
“You made this?” She asks, looking up at him expectantly.
“Yes. Your sister here helped me too. Made sure it looked right.” And it was true; you had spent many nights by his side, carefully instructing him on pa'li anatomy. You were surprised when he approached you and spoke of his intention to carve her the small figurine. He explained he felt inspired when you had offhandedly mentioned her fondness for the animal.
Tuk looks between him and figure a few times, then gives him one final once over before nodding her head.
“Hmm. I guess you can stay. [Y/N] likes you, so…And you’re Spider’s dad, and I like big brother Spider.” She smiles up at the aforementioned boy, who ruffles her hair once again affectionately.
“Okay bye I wanna show this to Lo’ak!” And with that she’s sprinted off before any of you can say anything more.
---
It was disheartening to come to the realization that Kiri was avoiding you. She didn’t outright ignore you per say, but she was always too busy or had other pressing matters to attend to; never was she free to sit and talk to you.
You broke down crying one night, alone with Quaritch. Immediately you were pulled into his embrace. His strong arms held you tight as he whispered comforting words into your hair.
You hadn’t noticed Spider just outside. He had come with the intent to eat with you two as usual, but stopped himself when he heard your cries. He listened to the words you spoke, laden with heartache for your sister.
You didn’t hear him leave either.
---
“You’ve gotta talk to her.” Spider finds Kiri inside watching her mother’s video logs.
“I’m sorry, what?” She turns to him alarmed.
“[Y/N]. You have to talk to her.” He pleads.
Kiri shakes her head at him and turns back to the video.
“I don’t have to do anything. Besides, what’s there to even talk about…” her voice travels off at the end, as if she was unsure of her own words.
“Are you being serious right now? Kiri…” He grabs her by the shoulders and turns her around to face him. She’s at his eye level from kneeling in front of the console.
“What do you want from me Spider? You know as well as I do what he’s done in the past. And she does too; but I guess that doesn’t matter anymore…”
“That’s not fair, Kiri—”
“You wanna know what’s NOT fair, Spider?! The fact that I have wake up every day knowing that the man who shot and killed my mother, is alive and well! And not only that, he’s mated to my sister!” There’s tears in her eyes as her voice rises; the frustration of it all bubbling over.
Spider can feel the anger radiating off of her, white hot and unravelling; a crescendo of emotion bottled up for who knows how long. The dam breaks and she sobs, fists clenched tight.
“So now, he gets to play house with my family, [Y/N] gets her Eywa-given mate, and you get your dad back! And what do I get? NOTHING!”
Spider flinches when she screams.
“What happened to ‘us orphans have to stick together’…? Am I going to lose you too…?” Spider’s eyes grow wide at her admission. Her fears laid out before him; she felt as though she was losing her family to Quaritch? Was she blind? He hates that she’s feeling like this, wishing he knew how to make it all go away. But at the same time, he can’t help but feel his own bout of anger and frustration.
“Kiri…You never were an orphan; not really…You know that, right?”
He looks at her with a serious expression. Her lips press into a thin line at his words.
“You had Jake and Neytiri. You literally call them mum and dad. Me? Who did I have? Yea Norm and the others raised me; but no one was really my parent…Norm was more like a big brother. And I’m not blind or stupid Kiri; your folks never considered me part of the family. Only you guys did…”
She knows all too well what her parents think of Spider. Mother was not as subtle as she thought she was. Father at least treated him well, but there was still this disconnection from Spider being human.
As they stared at one another, it became clear to both of them that there was perhaps a lot of hurt left yet to heal.
---
Despite the passage of time, you have yet to properly speak with your mother. Words left unspoken causing a rift to form between you two. Small at first, you feel the cracks forming as it has been left to sit and fester. She treats you with the same love and care you have always known, but something has undoubtedly changed. It’s there, behind a lingering gaze, the hesitance of touch, the near imperceivable sharp intake of breath, but with no words that follow.
The tension at dinner time is thick, near palpable. Your brothers try their best to fill the awkward silence with pleasant conversation, driving it as far from the topic of your mate as possible. Kiri obviously says nothing, much to your disappointment. Mother smiles but it does not reach her eyes.
When you eventually muster up the courage to speak with Mo’at, you are surprised; you had expected her to be just as, if not more, against it all as mother. But she is pragmatic, understanding that this providence cannot be ignored. Her unique spiritual bond with Eywa allowed a deeper understanding into the intricacies of the Great Mother’s Will. Though she would not forgive him any time soon, she would at least accept his place among her family and her People; if this was Her Way, the so it must Be. She didn’t have to like it, but she did have to respect it.
You asked her how best to approach your own mother. She tells you that you must speak from the heart, but be open to the idea that Neytiri may never accept things as they are. She is not Tsahik and never will be. Though she has great love for Eywa, this hurt cuts far deeper than you may yet understand. She says that Neytiri perhaps needs to commune with her father’s spirit and seek out his guidance. Perhaps even from Eywa herself.
You nod and thank her for speaking with you. You turn to leave but she stops you with a hand on your shoulder. When you turn back around she pulls you into a warm hug. She tells you everything will be okay; Eywa has deigned it so. That she is sorry you have suffered such hardship, but she knows you are strong and capable, and will get through this one way or another.
You cry shamelessly into her embrace for a long while.
---
When next to happen to find yourself alone in the company of your father, you fix him with a question that has been plaguing your mind.
“You know…I’m surprised you’re not as, angry, as mother is about all this.” You watch his face trying to gauge his reaction. His countenance is thoughtful though a scowl does form. He schools his expression quickly.
“Trust me kid; I am.” There is an underlying bitterness in his words that leaves you with an uncomfortable clench in your stomach.
“But…Eywa accepted me and forgave me for my part in the destruction of Home Tree and everything after that. She came to our aid when shit hit the fan, helping us drive back the RDA. She’s done a lot for me and our family. And if what Quaritch says is true, that our Avatar bodies only work because she allows them to? Then I got a helluva lot more to be grateful for. I wouldn’t have Neytiri, Mo’at, your siblings, the clan, or you for that matter.”
Your lips quiver with the strain to not cry. It becomes nigh impossible with the way father is smiling down at you. He places both hands on your shoulders.
“I took a lot from Pandora…But you and your siblings? You guys are the one good thing I put in.” You heart swells and you lose your battle to not cry. When Jake sees your tears he pulls you in, rubbing your back soothingly as you weep.
“No matter how grown up you get, you’ll always be my baby girl…It’s gonna be okay, I promise.”
You sniffle as you try to calm yourself. You are a little fed up with all the crying you’ve been doing lately.
“How can you be so sure?” He shrugs his shoulders.
“Call it a father’s intuition.” This time, you return his smile.
---
Tonight finds you in the arms of your husband. The two of you are deep within the forest, somewhere far from High Camp and Bridgehead. You found a secluded perch on which to lay and watch Eywa paint the sky in brilliant starlight. Your snuggled into his side, head resting on his broad chest. You listen to calm rhythmic beating of his heart. It comforts you.
His arm encloses you, pressing you tightly to him. Your hands, fingers entwined, rest atop where his heart is.
“What’s going on through that pretty little head of yours?” His voice draws you in, pulling your lazy gaze from the sky and to his face. There is a warmth in his eyes, a kind curiosity. He brings your hand up and presses a kiss to your knuckles. You loved it when he was soft and gentle. Though you were, of course, eager and willing for his rougher ministrations when the mood struck.
You smile softly and hum in response.
“Hmmm. Just thinking about how much I love you.”
You are rewarded with the goofiest smile you’ve ever seen adorn his handsome face. Sometimes it feels as though he could never get used to your declarations of love and affection. You wonder if he was starved of such a thing. The thought baffles you, as your people loved freely and were not ashamed to express such feelings to friends and family.
You don’t dwell on it though; resolving to smother him with everything he may or may not have been denied all his life.
You move yourself off his chest but don’t untangle your hand from his. Instead, you lay on your back and pull him as you do. Miles follows, moving himself above you; caging you in between his arms, his face mere inches from yours.
You stare at him; studying. You take note of every luminous freckle, the strength of his cheek bones, the grooves of his nose, the breadth of his jaw. Your hand moves to his face and cups his cheek. His skin is warm to the touch. Your thumb traces the lines of his lips. He closes his eyes and leans into your hand.
When he looks at you once more with a half-lidden gaze, lovesick and smiling, it stirs something deep within you. The flicker of a flame comes to life, its warmth all encompassing. That look of reverence on his face; you never want to stop. Not in this lifetime or the next.
You resolve to protect that smile by any means necessary.
---
The two of you weren’t in your tent this morning, and Neytiri huffs in frustration. After much talks with Jake, communing with Eywa, she had finally decided to try talking with you once more. The next morning of course. But much to her dismay, no one was at the tent when she called. She saw no one inside when she quickly looked inside, but did not linger as it smelt far too much like The Demon.
She cusses under her breath. She knows she’s going to have to get out of the habit of calling him that. Start addressing him by his name.
Unsure of where the two of you might be, she makes her way back to her own dwelling. Jake is there, cleaning one of his guns. He looks up when he hears her familiar footfalls.
“That was quick,” he says, a confused look on his face.
“They weren’t there.”
“Oh. Maybe one of the kids saw em’.”
She nods and sets out to find her other children.
---
Alas, it would prove futile; none of the others had seen either of you since the night before, when you had told Spider you and Quaritch were going out to watch the stars.
Speaking of Spider, where was he? If anyone was going to know where you two were, it’d be him.
Neytiri makes her way over to the scientist buildings; if he wasn’t with her children, he more than likely would be here.
She enters the one housing Grace’s Avatar, and finds Norm up and about, not yet in his Avatar. He turns and is surprised to see her of all people, rather than her kids, enter. Still, he is happy to see her all the same.
“Neytiri? Oel ngati kameie! What brings you here?”
“Oel ngati kameie, Norm. Have you seen Spider? Or [Y/N]?” She smiles and greets him with equal enthusiasm. His expression becomes perturbed at the question though.
“No sorry, haven’t seen Spider since…Huh. Actually the day before yesterday? Thought he was staying with [Y/N] and Quaritch.”
Neytiri’s stomach drops at the notion. Has no one really seen either of you three for the passed two days? And no one said anything? What kind of mother was she then, to not notice?? Her mind starts racing, but she takes a deep breath; calming herself before she spiraled out of control. There was no need to overthink; you may have simply been too busy.
“Have you tried asking the other recoms? I’m sure one of them must’ve seen em’ at some point.” She nods at him; it was a good place to continue.
“I have not. Thank you Norm. I shall go see them.”
Briskly she leaves, not another word said; far too eager to find you as soon as possible.
---
She eventually finds the three of them conversing with some of the other Avatars. She cares not for their topic of conversation, walking up and interrupting them without a second thought.
“You three.” She addresses them coldly; the others sense the rising tension and quickly make their escape.
“Mrs. Sully! What can we do for you?” The bald one, Lyle if she remembers correctly, asks her.
“My daughter. Have you seen her? What of your, leader, or his son?”
Instead of answering, the three of them simply share a look amongst themselves, before they all look back to her. The uncomfortable feeling is back tenfold. There is something in their gaze, an almost apologetic look in their eyes. She hates it, nor does she understand why they look upon her so.
“What? What is wrong?” She demands, the agitation ever growing.
Mansk clears his throat and steps forward.
“Come with us Mrs. Sully…And bring your husband too.”
Her stomach clenches something awful; her mother’s intuition stings.
---
The 5 of them congregate in Mansk’s private dwelling. He gestures for everyone to sit down, get comfortable. Jake too can’t help but notice the sullen looks adorning the others’ faces. Nor his he miss the nervous twitch of his wife’s tail. He grabs her hand and squeezes it reassuring. She looks to him, taking a deep breath as she nods.
Mansk re-emerges from wherever he went, brandishing a tablet in hand. He sits himself in front of everyone, holding the tablet for them to see.
“Here…A message was given to us, to give to you when you came.” He moves his hand and hits play.
Instantly you are on the screen. You are nervously rubbing the back of your neck. Quaritch is sitting next to you; he is leaning forward, resting his elbows on his knees and fingers loosely threaded in front of him.
“Hello mother, father, precious siblings…” Neytiri squeezes Jake’s hand harder. She does not like how your voice sounds as you speak.
“If you’re seeing this, then you’re all probably wondering where we—I am…” You pause, hand on your heart and you take a deep breath to calm yourself. Neytiri notices then, Spider mulling around in the background. Back and forth he moves, as if in a hurry.
“I don’t know how else to word this, so I’m just going to come out and say it. I’ve left. WE, have left. Me, Spider, and Miles.” You glance over to Quaritch and smile, grabbing his hand in yours, threading fingers together. Your face returns to that awful tired expression when you look back to the camera.
“I’m sorry I did this without saying goodbye…But this was for the best. If there was even a chance, no matter how small, that any of you would try to stop us…Well, I didn’t want to take that chance. I’m so sorry, I really mean that. For everything…Father? Thank you for taking care of me. I love you, to Earth and back. Please remember to take care of yourself too, not just the family or the clan…
Kids? I know you’re probably gonna hate me for a while, leaving like this and all—but like I said. My mind is made up and I don’t want any of you trying to stop us. I love each and every one of you so much. No one could ask for better siblings. Please be good to each other. And boys? Start actually listening to dad once in a while, yea?”
You pause to wipe a few stray tears. Neytiri is sobbing quietly as she clenches Jake’s hand painfully. She doesn’t see him swallow hard the lump in his throat.
“Mama?” Neytiri sits up straight when you address her directly.
“I don’t think I could every forgive myself for hurting you. I am so sorry, more than words could ever express…You took good care of me, took good care of this family. I am proud to call you my mother, and no matter how far the wind takes me, I will always love you. I hope you can forgive me one day…” You gently place a hand on your stomach.
“I do not want to cause dissent amongst my family, or the clan, any longer…And one day when I start my own family, with the man I love… I don’t want them to feel like they don’t belong. So here we go, somewhere far beyond the horizon, to find a place we can truly call our own…” Your smile is bright and unwavering, even when the tears don’t stop.
“Please keep taking such good care of each other. Promise me you will. Sullys stick together, our family is our fortress, right? Well, these two? They are my family now, they are my fortress, and I will do what I must to keep them safe, happy, accepted...Whether or not the clan or some of you can accept it, know that I love each and every one of you, forever and ever…So until I see you again, May Eywa keep you all safe…Goodbye...”
You wave at the camera before leaning forward to touch something unseen, and the video ends.
Neytiri breaks down then and there. She falls into Jake’s arms, clutching at him desperately. Her wails crack her voice as she calls for you. Jake sheds silent tears as he holds her tight. He fights every instinct in him demanding he grab his ikran and blindly fly after you.
The other recoms sit and silence, heads lowered, as they take in the sight before them.
A mother’s heartache was truly one of the saddest things to bare witness to.

It is when you reach the age of 12 that you decide these dreams are Eywa’s doing. They visit you in an unpredictable frequency. Whether he is a memory of a man long since passed, or a figment of your imagination given life through dreamscape; you are unsure, but don’t think too much of it. After all they are merely dreams, they cannot hurt you, right?
The man doesn’t say much. More often than not you two didn’t interact at all. If he sees you, he simply huffs in annoyance and ignores you. As such you simply observed him from a distance, hidden behind something or rather, as he performed whatever bizarre Human ritual he felt necessary.
Sometimes you go months without seeing him. But it’s happened often enough now you find your mind drifts to him.
You’re at the Tree of Souls with your grandmother, Mo’at, repeating after her as she leads you through a prayer to Eywa, when a thought suddenly hits you; ‘what if he was a human soul, and the Great Mother claimed him as her own?’ You stop in wonder at the thought. Would such a thing even be possible? Even after everything that they’ve done to your clan, would she still find place for them in Her Embrace? Maybe. There were plenty of Sky People who were good. They respected the All-Mother and all her children.
Spider was one of them – the strange boy that he is. You don’t know of any other human children on Pandora, and you think he must be the first to be born here. He’s only 7, the same age as your younger brother Lo’ak and sister Kiri, but by Eywa is he just as rambunctious. You love seeing him play with them and Neteyam too. Tuk is a bit too young, still a baby that one. But you have no doubt in your mind she’ll enjoy his company just as much.
Out of all your siblings though, you’re sure he’s closest to you. As the eldest, you naturally fell into the role of protector. And as far as you’re concerned, he’s just another part of the family, another little brother to watch over and love.
“[Y/N]?”
Your thoughts are interrupted by your grandmother calling your name. You realise you had stopped praying as your mind started to wonder.
“Yes, grandmother?”
“Tell me child, what is on your mind? You are distracted.” She asks you as she brushes some hair from your face. You smile at the gesture.
“Nothing is the matter, sorry grandmother. I was just thinking of my brothers and sisters.” She hums thoughtfully and pulls her hand back.
“You may go to them then. There will be plenty of time to give thanks to the All-Mother. But your brothers and sister won’t always be so young. Go and enjoy them.” You grin at the declaration and hug her quickly before immediately sprinting to find your little band of siblings. She smiles at the sight of you running carefree through the forest.
You have a pretty good idea where you might find them. There are a few rivers nearby that you all love splashing in. Sometimes Father will join, chasing all of you through the shallows and splashing all of you wildly. You love that game.
You make your way to the first river but do not see your siblings. You do find a few adults fishing though. You recognise one of them as Saeyla, a great warrior and friend to both your parents.
“Ah! Young [Y/N]! What brings you here? Here to help us fish, are you?” She beams a wild smile at you. You see a young initiate beside her. She must be showing him the best places to fish, and when to appropriately use a bow or spear.
“Hello Saeyla! No not right now. I’m looking for my brothers and sisters, have you seen them?” She nods and points to her left. You thank her and run off in that direction, bidding goodbye to everyone.
Once you’re out of earshot the young man chuffs to himself and mumbles,
“She still looks like a freak even after all this time.” Saeyla flicks him right in the forehead.
“Watch your tongue! In case you have forgotten, that is Toruk Makto’s daughter. Our Olo'eyktan’s daughter. Show some respect. It is by Eywa’s will that she is here. Or are you going to question the wisdom of our Great Mother?” She fixes him with a stare, challenging him. He stiffens at her look.
“Sorry Saeyla. I—I didn’t mean—” He stumbles to find the right words but she waves him off with a click of her tongue.
“Let us continue and pretend you said nothing.” He nods at her words.
---
Your siblings are exactly where Saeyla said they’d be. All happily splashing in the water; not a care in the world. You smile and sit on a nearby tree root, a bit out of their line of sight. Content to simply watch them. You’re happy to see little Spider here too. You giggle to yourself as you watch him playfully dive atop the pile of Kiri and Lo’ak, Neteyam off to the side pulling on someone’s tail.
As you watch them, you admire the gold of Spider’s locks, not too dissimilar to your own. The play with the threaded gold of your hair idly between fingers, reminiscing on the firs time you had met the boy.
You had begged and pleaded with Father to teach you the language of the Sky People. Reluctant at first, he figured it would probably be in your best interest to learn it in the end, considering there were plenty of Humans and Avatars left behind on Pandora. And to be fair not everyone had learnt the Na’vi language. He figures you being at the young age of 8, it’s probably easier for their language to make a lasting impression than adults learning Na’vi.
He relents and takes you to see Norm, though bi-lingual now himself, he’s not entirely sure how to go about actually teaching you the language. Figured Norm, the science-head that he is, would have an easier time. You like Uncle Norm anyway. He tells you lost of fascinating stories about Sky People and the planet they came from. Especially when Father is reluctant to share. You also find it very funny when he switches to his Sky People body; he’s so short compared to when he’s a Dreamwalker.
So there you are, at Hell’s Gate with your Father. Mother stayed behind in the forest, content to watch over Neteyam, Lo’ak and Kiri.
Father and Uncle Norm are discussing something, you’re not paying attention to their words. Instead you busy yourself looking at the pretty pictures in a book on a desk nearby. You pay no mind to the idle sounds of the other scientists nearby as the work.
However, your attention is suddenly pulled by the pitter patter sound of hastily running feet and someone yelling “Spider get back here!”
Before you can turn around, something solid collides with your legs, causing you to drop the book as you fall to the floor, the solid thing landing on your legs.
“[Y/N]!” Your father is immediately by your side, gently picking you up as he puts you back on your feet carefully.
“I’m okay Dad,” you assure him. Didn’t even hurt. You look over and find Uncle Norm similarly lifting up someone. The someone that collided with you. It’s a child. A Human child.
“Spider you gotta be careful, you can’t just run into people like that. Now say sorry to [Y/N].” Uncle Norm chastises the child, Spider.
“Sowwy, I ram into yoo.” He says, his pronunciation a little off, but you understood him.
“Oh, I guess this is the first time the two of you have ever seen each other. [Y/N], this is Spider. Spider, this is [Y/N]. She’s my daughter. Say hello, [Y/N].” It is your Father that does the introductions.
“Hello! My name is [Y/N]! It’s nice to meet you Spider!” You beam at him. You didn’t expect him to speak Na’vi. Uncle Norm must be teaching him. You think hard and remember the Sky People greeting Uncle Norm showed you. Ah, right! A handshake! You stick out your hand confidently.
Spider looks at your hand as if unsure what to do. He looks back up to your face with a slight tilt to his head, a questioning look adorns his cute little face.
You giggle at his expression. Instead, you gesture with the traditional Oel ngati kameie hand motion. Spider smiles and copies you, even if the way he swings his arm is a bit off. You admire his hair. It is wild and golden like yours, though yours is a tad lighter.
“I like your hair.”
“Fanks. I like yor eyes. They pretty like strawberries.” You’re not sure what that last thing is. But that sounded like a nice thing so you say thank you.
It is from this tiny interaction that Spider becomes enraptured by you and your family. He’s seen Norm’s avatar, and the ones that walk around Hell’s Gate. But you? You and your father are different. You live in the Forest. And Spider LOVES the forest. He wishes Norm would let him run around outside and explore. “Maybe when you’re older,” he kept telling him.
And so begins months of learning the Sky People language from Uncle Norm and Father, while Spider is taught Na’vi by the two older males in tandem. Every chance you get, the two of you practice with each other. You speak English to him, and he Na’vi to you. It is a fun game.
It’s been about 4 years since then, now you’re both reasonably fluent in either language. Spider though seems much more content to speak Na’vi and that’s fine by you. Your siblings were eventually also taught the Sky People’s language to make communication between Humans, Dreamwalkers and Clan easier.
You continue to quietly watch your siblings play. And yes, you definitely consider Spider a younger brother. You don’t care that he is Human. Why should that matter? After all, your Dad used to be human. And even now, you understand that his body is that of a Dreamwalker.
A gentle breeze carries the laughter of your siblings to you. Their song dances around you, and you close your eyes and smile at the feeling. You could almost feel the Great Mother in the shades of the trees; sheltering you from the harshness of direct sunlight. Though you enjoy the kiss of sunlight as it seeps through the gaps between leaves, leaving warm and soft patterns across your skin.
Deciding you’ve had enough of watching and want to play in the water too, you sit up from your tree spot and make your way over to everyone else.
Spider is the first to notice your approach; thought it surely isn’t hard to miss your alabaster form against the greens of the forest.
“[Y/N]!!!” He yells excitedly and rushes to meet you part way into the water. Everyone else yells your name in greeting and follow him.
“Hello everyone!” You greet back and are soon tackled to the ground by a horde of toddlers. You giggle at their antics. Soon you all resume what ever game it is they were playing, lots of splashes and lots of laughter.
You couldn’t be happier.

Neteyam is gay. Like, no doubts about it, man is a homosexual.
That takes him a long time to admit though; his entire identity surrounded being the oldest and a warrior, it wasn't until he reached the Metkayina that he finally had a moment to breath and realize why Ao'nung was so distracting to him
It's like he can finally breathe, not even for the sake of questioning his sexuality and more so cause he finally feels like a piece of the puzzle clicked together
Homie has identity issues galore
It takes Jake back a bit to realize Neteyam is gay though, in part due to internalized earth stuff but also just because he has to admit that Neteyam is a teenager and still feels teenager things in a war
It's him realizing Neteyam only grew up in war, that its already been his childhood
Spider is demiromantic, bisexual, and trans. He has almost zero preference towards gender romantically or physically but feelings take a minute for him to develop. However, when they do, he falls hard
I love trans!Spider but don't use it all the time cause it's a process to work in canon
However, FTM Spider was sort of a clumsy coming out
Na'vi are intersex, it's very fluid, even if some still believe there should be some version of a binary
So no one quite understand why the humans are so strict on their genders or why it's such a big deal for Spider than he is a he and not a she.
He just sort of breaks down with Lo'ak and Kiri who panic and try to fix things. He thinks it's a big thing and no one really gives a shit, he's still the little stray human, but some of the older teens and stuff realize how much he cares and make an effort to make him feel good about it
He worries it'll make him more of a freak but he has a gaggle of siblings, and later friends, who reassure him that they couldn't particularly care less
His coming out is what triggers Kiri's
Kiri is an asexual lesbian who uses she/they pronouns
Unlike the romantic preferences, being asexual is a little bigger of a deal but Neytiri specifically will shut down anyone who gives her baby any shit
Being ace is a bigger thing because there is so much emphasis on intimacy and seeing one another, however, Kiri very passionately proves to anyone that she doesn't need sex to connect with anyone.
Lo'ak has actively gotten into fights to help when people start shit with them
Kiri didn't really have a sexuality crisis though
They just kind of knew, something her brothers are endlessly jealous of
Tsireya is her first crush though
Lo'ak is the one who gets it bad but Kiri admittedly fell hard for her
She was gorgeous and sweet, cared about the environment around them in a way no one their age ever seems to
Plus she stands up for her and Kiri wanted to show her what she sees so bad it made her stomach curl
But she stepped back for Lo'ak, as bittersweet as it was, she felt so good just enjoying the innocent feeling
It just felt good to have normal teenage feelings in the midst of a war
Lo'ak is bisexual, however, he would tell you he is Tsireyasexual
He is one track minded
The most loyal partner ever tho
Like, if you're his person, he is honed in
Being bi was never really a huge thing for him but he was the last one of all the teenagers to come out
He just forgot
He was sitting with Tsireya while everyone hung out and Tsireya pointed out a cute guy to him and they took in the view together while everyone kind of just ??? this is new?
It wasn't, homie really just forgot to tell people
It was a given to him
Funnily enough, he has the same taste as Kiri
Tsireya is not the first girl they both liked
While he is bi, he does lean mostly towards girls
He's a sucker for pretty
It's bad, Tsireya flutters her lashes at him and he'll do damn near anything
A simp (TM)
Tuk is too young rn to really care but when she's older, I think she's pan
People her age are much fewer and she just likes friends
Her first crush is Rotxo's little sister cause she keeps following him to hang out when Tuk is a preteen
She's hella obvious and all of the older ones think it's hilarious to tease her, she's worse than Lo'ak when he first saw Tsireya
She's bringing her shells and little flowers, trying to show off in games and dress pretty
Tsireya and Neteyam take mercy and help her get her act together but nothing comes of it
Once it starts tho she's a hopeless romantic
She has a new crush every other week of her early teen years but never gets to be a better flirt
She's a mini Lo'ak that way
He tries to coach her and says she didn't get it from him but it's obvious
Ao'nung is demi. He leans towards men physically but he is almost as bad as Neteyam in terms of thinking himself responsible for everyone
Tonowari tries desperately to break him of that mindset and Ronal is constantly trying to take pressure off of him but it's just in his nature
So he, like Neteyam, doesn't think about relationships much
He has, however, been a hopeless romantic with a laundry list of brief crushes over the years
He falls hard for Neteyam though when he arrives
Mainly because he finally feels seen, he's a big one on emotional connections
No one at home understands the pressure on him so when Neteyam shows up, shepherding siblings and standing as his fathers right hand, he doesn't know what to do
He tries to cover it up, worried still for the safety of his clan, and scare them off
A little selfish part of him was afraid of the feelings and wanted them gone
Clearly that doesn't work but, once they realize they both like one another, it doesn't take him long to latch on
He and Neteyam become close rapidly and fall into a relationship fast once things are started (a genuine surprise to literally everyone)
A very devoted partner; he learned from his Dad and takes being a good partner seriously
it took him a really long time to feel confident in himself so once he and Neteyam are together, he's devoted to becoming a strong partner to demonstrate a strong relationship to his partner
Metkayina are extremely family based and he will not let them down
Tsireya is pan
She has so much love in her she doesn't know what to do with it
Falls hard and fast, Ao'nung has spent years trying to keep her from falling for everyone who she connects just a little bit with
Actually did have a crush on Kiri too, though she had one on Lo'ak at the same time
Might by poly but she never investigates it
She's very spiritual and spends a lot of time with the ancestors so her partner needs to care too
Like she makes Lo'ak ask the ancestors for their blessing when she accepts his courting
He was scared shitless and got teasingly (?) threatened by her deceased uncle
She cares deeply about helping others to the point of being naive - she has gotten hurt before because of it so she needs some reassurances in relationships
Lo'ak is not her first relationship but he is the first really healthy one
She's prone to trying to fix people honestly, she doesn't get what she puts in a lot
However, when she does, she's a little angel
Gifts, cooking, help; whatever she can do to show her love she'll do
Wants to be Tsahik so she's terrified Neteyam will take the job
He lets her happily, preferring to be a line of defense for his people regardless
Rotxo has no clue what he is
He just knows he likes Spider
He's a giant softie
Like gentle giant himbo vibes but fiercely protective of his family
Very proud of his home and his heritage
He has two moms so sexuality wasn't really a big deal growing up, however, he just didn't really care
He just likes who he likes
He had a bigass crush on Ao'nung for a bit but later realized it was just a deep platonic love
Unlike most of the crew, he doesn't fall easily
Like he has had maybe 2 crushes his entire life
So falling for Spider is a shock
But he's just happy to find his feelings returned
He's a big provider type, likes giving gifts and taking care of his friends
He has a lot of issues about feeling useful and needed; he grew up in Ao'nungs shadow and so feels like he needs to fight to be seen
Hence part of how he and Spider bonded
While very gentle, he's very passionate about being a warrior once he finally feels like he has a reason to be
Does a lot of soul searching after the Sullys come
He still has a lot to learn about himself but feels much more at peace now that he doesn't feel like just Ao'nungs best friend
- Spoilers ahead, trigger warning for death and a small suicide mention -
My Angst Avatar Way Of Water Headcanons
I'm sad and you will deal with the consequences
Last time it was languages, now it's the aftermath of Neteyam's death
Neytiri hates humans, she wishes they never came to Pandora in the first place. It keeps her up at night and causes never ending stress, a flurry of 'what ifs' while Jake sleeps soundly next to her. Her father, sister, Tsu'tey, would be in her sleep, blaming her for allowing a demon into her family. Neytiri believes without humans, her friends and family would be breathing and her clan prosperous. She wouldn't have Neteyam lifeless below her.
Jake hates his humanity, he tries so desperately to understand and sympathise with his fellow man, but flashes of Neteyams eyes frantically searching for help before losing their life, his ears relaxing when before they were twitching erratically forces him to be harsh. He will give second chances, after that, anyone who refuses to help the Na'vi is dead to him.
Kiri has images of Grace dying as nightmares, the failed body transfer replaying in her head at heightened points of stress, it's why she relaxes with nature, it let's everything leave. Just Kiri and her two mothers. When Neteyam died, she felt him at the funeral become one with Eywa. She hears his shallow last breaths in her heartbeat, and wishes she could hear his one last time.
Lo'ak can't look at his mother without seeing Neteyam, he tries, he really does. But everything about her reminds him of a brother he feels responsible for letting die. In the water he sees his brother being enveloped into the ocean, forcing Lo'ak to break the surface and cry, screaming and begging for help to save him. Sometimes he tries to drown with Neteyam, to see him again and make for lost time. For those arguments that broke them apart the last few months of his living.
In the early staging of grieving Neteyam, the Sully family sleep in his bed and cry themselves to sleep, hugging each other and begging for a miracle from Eywa. And while Neytiri would never admit it out loud, she began to doubt Eywa in those first few months, she believed that her great mother despised her for the destruction surrounding her and her family. The metkayina clan feels great pain and loss in the stages of grief, hearing their cries at night.
Ao'nung feels guilt about not getting to know the Sully's more, he tries to befriend them now and while they're so welcoming, he feels like he doesn't deserve it for what he did. For all he knows, Lo'ak could've been killed because of him. Even without the what ifs, he notices Neytiri and Jake never look him in the eye, they don't forgive him for what could've happened. It keeps him from speaking to them for too long, because he was responsible for Lo'ak's safety, and he used that against him.
Quaritch begins to have an identity crisis over who he even is. All he knows that even if he isn't Spiders dad, he wants to be better and feels regret for not being there. Although, he's far too deep now. Miles hates him, for good reason, but it stings like a nagging bug biting into his flesh, poisonous thoughts stabbing into him like he was nothing. He knows it's deserved for what he remembers he done, but he isn't that man, and he wants to prove it. Doubts begin spiralling his mind and everybody notices, Neytiri's words of 'a son for a son' kept him sleepless and borderline insane. He could've lost spider that night, would life be better? Would it be worse? He'd never know, and that's the worst part.
Tuktirey sleeps with her parents ever since Neteyam died, never leaving her family's side and hating when they have to split up. She never spent enough time with him before he died, even if it was most of her time, it would never be enough. Tuk asks her mother for Neteyam's necklace, hugging it with her and Jake. After a few months in the family slept separately again, in solitary peace, but every once and a while she'll cry quietly and slip into her mother's arms.
Tsireya feels too guilty to continue a relationship with Lo'ak at first, she can't look at him without feeling like she could've helped in some way. She feels worthless and one day the dam breaks, both her and Lo'ak expressing their true feelings. They bonded over that day and became inseparable ever since, it made things better for most of the Sully family, to have the least willing to move on be helped in such a way that he would have a distraction.
Jake and Neytiri become overbearing and protective over their children, always knowing their location and rushing to find them if they've been gone for too long. It puts pressure on the kids and ends in fights that drift them apart. Of course they work through their issues eventually, but things like this are common when losing children and I don't doubt that the Sully's would have this happen after Neteyam.
Spider is semi accepted into the tribe, however, he wants to go back to the forest. He never outright speaks his thoughts, but everybody can tell, he can't keep up with swimming or holding breath, he's smaller and weaker than Na'vi of his age and is almost useless to their way of life. He wants to go back to the way things were, before humans came back.
Spider regrets saving his dad, he wouldn't tell anybody, ever, and would try hiding all evidence or possibility of them finding out, he doesn't want to lose what he feels is his family. His dad may be 'alive' but deep down he knows it's not actually him, no matter how much more willing the man is to be apart of his life, Spider wishes he could've let him drown.
AVATAR : WAY OF WATER with a Moth from Sky Children of the light. Prologue
Part One.1 - Part One.2
-
Inspired by @dizzythediasy
Characters included : The Sully family.
Pronouns used: They / Them
Note(s) : I've not played Sky for a WHILE so for Avatar lore sake and because I'm really lazy, I'm gonna be writing the Moth reader as a being from Eywa. Like a seed from the ancient tree but as a human sized child. Na'vi language will be in bold.
A small voice lifts you into consciousness, your mind only comprehending the comforting embrace that holds you softly while the strange whispers begin rising in volume, you slowly open your eyes as they fade away. Unsure of where you are, who you are and why you're here.
You know words but have no idea of the meaning, such as forest. You don't know what a forest is, but that's all you can think of when you look around at the bright bioluminescent trees, grass and various fauna around you. The night sky making it bright and stunning for most, yet for you, a stranger to both the world and to living, you were terrified.
A twig snapping made you sqeak and fall down, cooing in confusion as you backed into a tree, hugging your cape close to you and darting your head around to look for what made the noise. Unknown to you, previous to the noise three na'vi teenagers and a young na'vi child hid and quietly spoke about what to do.
"Sky people can not breathe our air, Neteyam, they could be dying!" Kiri sharply whispered, she had previously felt a strange energy and almost completely blacked out walking here. Only to stumble across an asleep sky person. She has no clue why she felt so protective over somebody she'd never met, but Kiri continued to stand her ground and glared at her first brother while he shook his head in exasperation.
"They do not look like a sky person, sky people do not glow." Neteyam flicked his tail in annoyance and suspicion, not wanting to get in trouble further. The second brother simply rolled his eyes.
"Whatever bro, they clearly are not a threat, if they wanted to cause harm they would." Lo'ak pointed out and snickered at Neteyam's seriousness. They all paused for a moment as the small creature opened their eyes, looking around them in a daze.
"I wanna go see!" Tuktirey quietly whispered, pulling on Neteyam's arm impatiently as he sighed and gritted his teeth.
"Fine. But if it gets dangerous-" Neteyam began, getting cut off by Kiri warily standing up, Tuktirey shooting up so fast it was like an ikran, and Lo'ak slowly but surely making his way towards the strange figure. "we leave and report it to dad..."
Suddenly Lo'ak stumbled, a twig snapping on his weight and causing the figure to jump in surprise. Making strange noises while backing away in fear.

PART 2
The reader, “Rayti” is taken along with the Sully family as they embark on a journey to find a new home.
“She is strong,” Neytiri mused, attracting glances from her children.
“Yeah, that’s Rayti all right,” Kiri couldn’t suppress a grin towards her siblings, despite the tension that hung still.
“Remember when you tried to convince her to abandon healing duty?”
“Abandon? Aw c’mon, she was bored!” Lo’ak argued, “It was more of a rescue!”
“I doubt she would say that now” Neteyam passed from behind, but not before ruffling the hair of his younger troublemaker, which earned a sharp hiss.
“Remember when Lo’ak tried to play doctor once? He threw her medicine bag off the trees”
“Threw? What-Threw?!”
“And you took some leaves off a random shrub to compensate for the herbs she lost”
“She nearly cried again”
“It was the same thing!” Lo’ak protested fervently.
“Your healing skills are poor and so is your eyesight, they were different leaves”
“You-“
Tuk piped up. “So… is she really coming with us?”
The siblings quieted and glanced amongst themselves. ‘Would mom and dad allow it…?’
They slowly looked to their father, who had retreated from listening to their conversation.
A silence had befallen the pod once again. Flames licked at the tinder hungrily, its snaps replacing the once lively choruses of the siblings.
Neytiri laid a hand on her mate’s shoulder, “She was very eager to come, my Jake. It would make it easier for us, for the children”. Her eyes strayed in their direction. “And you know how much she loves them”
“We could use her skills,” Kiri whispered, “Sister has told me of her many travels”
“She wouldn’t shut up about the plants-“
“You shut up”
Tuk giggled at her brothers.
Jake’s jaw tightened as he looked over his shoulder at his awaiting family. Placing someone else’s life in further peril was the last thing he needed on his list, but they had a point. It wasn’t that he didn’t trust her, he didn’t want to endanger her. And yet, he knew she felt the same towards his children.
Hadn’t they grown up together? Wasn’t she the little Mommy’s assistant who would run around with bandages and herbs tucked in a makeshift medical kit?
Jake faced his mate, and in her eyes, he gained a newfound strength.
Begrudgingly, he agreed.
“We leave tomorrow morning. Tell your navigator to come prepared”
~*~
And so, they took flight. Against the stiff currents of the morning air, it was hard to hold back a shiver as the view of the jungle slipped farther away from sight. But would it remain in mind?
Nao’yri’s warm touch lingered on her daughter’s shoulders, already fading. Rayti bit her lip as she saw the longing peeks of her friends beside her, as well as the tears their mother tried to hide.
‘Their village, their people, their home’
She gave a silent prayer to the Great Mother that fortune would befall them.
The morning’s radiance had melted into an ocean’s blue when Kiri came forward to join her side. Rayti adored Kiri, she prized her calmness, her rationality. And, in these quiet moments, her compassion.
“So, this is how it feels. It must get lonely, sister”
“I won’t lie, sister. It’s much better when you’re all here with me. I just wish…”
A small grimace.
“…I just wish it was on better terms”
“Everything’s changed now,” Kiri tightened her shawl around her shoulders, “Nothing will be the same”
“I will visit, sister. With every chance I get, I will be with you”
Traces of warmth graced Kiri’s smile, knowing that if they were on land, Ratyti would have smothered her in a big hug by now. It was the kind of embrace that she loved so much. The only one she could find in Rayti’s presence.
“Sister, what troubles you?” Oh, and that too.
“It’s Spider…What if…”
“Spider is a force to be reckoned with. He wouldn’t stay down for long; we will have to trust him for now. But you…we must get you to safety first,” she said encouragingly.
“I miss him,” said Kiri, her voice hardly above a whisper.
Neteyam, being a strong force of his own, appeared at Rayti’s other side. “It will all work out, sister.”
Lo’ak materialized beside them.
“Can’t sleep, little brother?”
“If she can stay up, so can I,” he glanced at Kiri, who smiled in return, until…
“Your monkey boy will be back for you, sis”
Kiri rolled her eyes. “Skxawng. That’s not what I meant”
“That’s not what it sounded like” Lo’ak smirked, earning a sigh from Rayti.
“Go back to sleep!”
“No”
~*~
The waves rolled in tranquil rhythm, sending subdued hushes to the night sky and its many luminary companions. In the moonlight, Rayti searched the shorelines for evidence of her destination. Her ikran crowed softly to alert her.
“How much longer then, navigator?” the eldest brother inquired gently.
“Soon”
~*~
“And that’s Na’vi-gator to you”

An ATWOW fanfic (fem!reader insert)
Note: reader enters the story as “Rayti”, the daughter of a strong healer of the Omaticaya clan. The fic begins after the abduction of Spider, and the reader is worried for her friends upon hearing about the sudden targeting of Jake Sully and his family.
“Leaving?”
“Yes, ma child”, the mother replied as she combed through the unruly locks of her eldest daughter. Aside from the occasional tug on tangled strands, she weaved her fingers to calm her troubled youth. The youth, in question, simply bowed her head in disheartenment. ‘Had they decided to stay, they’d be in danger’, she bit her lip in further dismay, ‘then we’d all be in danger’.
Though hidden away from the turmoil of the constant attacks and resistance between Na’vi and Sky People, she, among many, was not oblivious to the situation of the Sully family. Especially after news of the recent attack reached the ears of their community. She was hopeful, but reality surged to strike at their hearts, already torched alight by the violent operations against their foreign counterparts. Now Spider, her friend, had been taken; the rest spared and brought back safely. They needed a new plan, to guarantee safety for all of them. To save their stronghold from further peril. Of course, it was an eye for an eye, and a price was to be paid.
“So, it is agreed, then?” She was certain that a new Olo'eyktan was to be chosen. There would be a ceremony, and they would all have to see the family off…and then..
The mother, Nao’yri, held her daughter’s distraught face. She could easily read the mind of her beloved in one glance, and she never held any doubt if not in the current moment. No, today she knew what her daughter was thinking, and she didn’t like it. But it was not so easy to halt these gears turning in her head, nor wipe away the determination in her eyes. So, she held the smaller fist of this troubled youth and as their eyes met, it was as if their minds had connected.
“I hope you know what you’re doing, my Rayti”
~*~
The fire drew sprightly glows on the barren ground as Rayti and her mother drew closer to the tent of the Toruk Makto and his family. She could hear the adamant yet flourishing voice of her tribe’s Tsahìk from inside the weaved shelter as an accompanying Na’vi soldier stood by the entrance. He announced her presence and the voices died down. A friendly face popped from inside to greet her, and she couldn’t help but smile at the sight.
“Neteyam!” She scurried to the entrance as the Na’vi soldier turned away.
“Rayti! Come in!” The taller adolescent guided her inside with a pat on the shoulder, as his sibling rushed past him, eager to see her friend.
“Tuk! How are you? All okay?” Rayti stooped down to inspect the youngest, who was already laughing at her antics.
“I’m fine, sister! Mom and dad looked me over,” her voice dropped to a whisper,” It was really scary, though”.
Rayti could only manage a smile at the others, Kiri and Lo’ak, as their father drew closer. “I understand you requested a talk on serious terms?”
“Yes.” Came Nao’yri’s reply. He gestured to the covered floor as the family sat once again, along with their guests.
~*~
The fire flickered and cackled under the heavy stares of its masters.
“I see, so you’d like to join us”, Jake frowned uneasily.
“Simply as an accompanying navigator,” Nao’yri continued, “My daughter believes that her acquaintance with traveling could be of use. She has flown many a time to distant regions in pursuit of the herbs needed for my remedies. She knows of a faraway tribe that could provide sanctuary. And additionally,” she turned to her daughter, eyes soft and smiling.
“I’d like to help, sir,” Rayti cursed the small waver in her voice yet continued, “We are indebted to you and your family, for you among many warriors have ensured the safety of this tribe,” she paused to make eye contact with each of the members of the family, which only strengthened her resolve.
“…it is only right that we as a community should see to yours as well.”
Jake eyed the girl’s eager, swishing tail as his Tsahìk spoke, “And, you can ensure this?”.
“It will not be easy, but I have trained Rayti well in my ways of herbs and medicine. She will be able to provide additional aid with this training. It will take many days and nights to get to this secluded region, away from the forest.”
‘Away from…your home’ Rayti held no doubt what this would mean for Jake and his family, especially Neytiri, who had already gone through so much before becoming Tsahìk. How much more hurtful would it be, to then be ripped apart from home in pursuit of a singular solution, to untangle your heartstrings from the vines of the Earth, and to set flight to a place where no one else could follow? But if she could do something for her friends…to hasten their escape… It would be indeed be painful for each of them, but she was willing to do what she could to help fortify their plans.
Crackle, pop
Neytiri and Jake exchanged a look. Less anxious now, Rayti intervened.
“I will be staying shortly to ensure your settlement goes smoothly, and after-“
“-After she does my work” Nao’yri emphasized tenderly, earning a swift nod from her daughter.
“-Yes, after I retrieve some plant samples. I will return to the Omaticaya clan without a trace of where I arrived from”.
Crackle, sputter
The silence felt suffocating, but Rayti held her gaze. Beside her, Nao’yri reached out to nestle her hand atop her fingers. ‘Would they be convinced?’ she wondered.
“We will discuss this. Your offer is appreciated and will be taken into consideration,” Jake nodded. Rayti’s shoulders relaxed, and she smiled in quiet thanks, oblivious to the siblings’ small grins and looks of amusement from seeing her fervid and curved tail movements. Yet it wasn’t a lie that they were shocked by her proposal and even thankful for her stepping up. Knowing her, she couldn’t stay away for long, but like a true friend, she’d always deliver.

Jesus I wrote a lot-
I've been going on and off on making an interactive game where you, the reader, can date, form bonds and talk with the characters all while going through a large-spanning story. Basically fanfic where it's personalized. (You get to choose dialogue options, romantic partner(s), limited backgrounds, gender, personalize your name, etc.) But the problem is I originally made it for an entirely different character.
In other terms, I need anyone who is interested, to vote how I continue this project!
I don't want to spoil too much, but basically the reader is a genetically modified human (I know we all want to be Na'vi but let me cook PLEASASEE) who's a senator/diplomat to another faction called The United Colonies of Sol. They are not allied with the RDA at all, in fact they've come to Pandora to support Jake Sully.
The problem is how I start the story. Originally, it was to be a relative love story between the characters So'lek, Eetu, Teylan, Nor, the Sarentu... And more... (So many characters guys ahhh), but mainly So'lek.
The journey would go something like this: ship crashes, So'lek brings reader to the resistance once he finds out they need to contact Jake Sully. He decides to act as a courier and help deliver them. An Odessy kinda happens where they traverse different areas all while (maybe) falling in love. I thought the dynamic would be cute seeing as reader would be polarizing in comparison to the humans he's met so far (might go further into detail if the other vote wins or if people are curious).
But I found that it might be restrictive to those who've never played AFOP and overall limit the audience. Although the idea works best in that space, I've written 40,000 words in total of the current 'demo' which goes something like this:
Reader crashes (again) but where the Metikaya (I know I'm spelling that wrong, I'm on my phone guys please 😞) are located, sadly causing mass destruction. During recovery they meet Tsireya and the other main cast. Having met Jake Sully and possibly gaining his trust, now they need to try finding a way to find their main crew all while the RDA grows in power/influence, and the events of Avatar: Fire and Ash happens. (I know by the time the film releases I'm prob gonna be near that point).
So as you guys can probably see, they're pretty different in characters and motives. Long run, they'll be completely different stories.
On one hand, with AFOP I have the story more formulated to fit the narrative, with the dynamic of the characters and their seperate wants considered for the story. Even the resistance connection to the reader would make better sense. But again, limited and alienating, and the main cast wouldn't be seen for a LONNNGG time... Like, holy shit.
On the other, ATWOW the inclusion of reader will feel less natural and more hand fisted, and how the story goes genuinly relies on plot then character driven actions (mainly) and with the uncertainty of how AFAA will go, it might become obsolete. But, I have already written 40 thousand along with its code as a base. Plus you get to date and talk to the main cast much quicker
No matter how you guys vote, I'll likely reveal info on the AFOP story line on what was supposed to happen, characters, arcs etc. likewise with ATWOW, I'll release the demo if the other wins cause... Damn, 40 thousand words wasted? Nuh uh!
If you have questions, feel free to ask!
Can’t get over how the recoms were just tossed aside.
Fucking love Z-dawg tho, I adore her
Quaritch coming back from the hell to throw hands with a dad, his wife and their four kids
Quaritch nation, is this your babygirl fighting a seven year old 🤨???
Was Ronal just not gonna mention anything??? Also, love the Space Jesus arc we’re taking, it’s fantastic.
I love how even though I’m not a blue alien that lives on a bioluminescent moon, I still can relate and love these brothers
Spider just wants to be accepted and have a family that loves him. Unfortunately Neytiri merely tolerates him, and his actual father is a murderous RDA colonel.
Spider wants to be loved and accepted by Neytiri. The Sully’s are probably the few Na’vi who genuinely welcome Spider. He feels like he belongs with them, Na’vi. However, Neytiri tolerated him at best. After all, he’s from the sky people, helped Quaritch + recoms learn to be Na’vi, put her children in danger, and was the indirect cause of Neyetam’s death.
Then you have Quaritch. Quaritch desires to build a relationship with his son, actively listens to him, and saves Spider from the torture of General Ardmore. Hell, at the end of the movie, Quaritch ACCEPTS Spider as his son. Unfortunately Quaritch is also a colonel who led an invasion on the Tree of Souls, attempted to murder Jake, Neytiri, and Kiri, and threatened to hunt down the Sully’s and kill them. So yeah…
Spider is in this weird limbo, and I really can’t wait to see what happens next.
