'System activating... Welcome back (Y/N)!'
'Safe Mode'
Your gears grind and wires tighten, vision coming back to you in fluttering blinks, a hiss erupted from your stomach, hatch opening to reveal your internal machinery. A voiced hummed lowly clicked their pen as your heavy eyelids are forced open, stomach hissing with a clank as it shut with ease.
"Ah, you have awoken! Welcome back!" A monotone voice boomed, ears coiling back at the sudden loudness as the pitch bounced off of the walls, surrounding you like a quilted blanket. "You are going to be put on reduced power for a while, so we know how your body will accept the programing correctly." The voice came again a bit cheerier than the last time he spoke.
Blinking back blurry eyes, your head lifted. "Reduced power?" Before you stood a man, clipboard in hand, pen clicking post-haste. Swiping a thick lock of charcoal colored hair from his eyes, tucking it haphazardly behind a clefted ear. It was quite complicated to see his body due to the illy pigmented handler suit that he sported, the shoulders loose fitting but wrist bands held snug to his skin as if to shield himself from some unknown disease. "Yep! You will need a charge every hour, the technicians said it was a safety precaution so that they or we- know how well your system accepts the new programing and if there is any faulty coding!"
"Who are you? W-what happened after the coding?" You groaned with a pained snarl, brows furrowed weakly, lifting a pigmented paw to your head you glanced down at the man that stood not many inches shorter than yourself.
He grinned, smile beaming as his hands waved energetically. "Oh! I'm so sorry! I am Lukas your assigned handler!" He chirped gleefully. Your head tilted a brow lifted at the sudden news. "Oh, and about your question! The technicians had to shut your engines down for a few days so you could compute the new coding! It's been a few days but now you're up and ready to go!" He stated zestfully. You nodded leisurely with a hum before your mouth opened to speak. "-it's kinda weird you have only been here for a few days and already got shut down for new coding! Well, that should be expected from your advanced technology and AI of course! The company wants you to be of extreme entertainment!" Lukas boasted with a song under his tone.
Your mind began to wonder as the man- or your 'handler' continues to drag on with his one-sided conversation.
Vibrant (E/C) hues raking the unusual landscape before your hands folded formally behind your back. It was bright, strips of electrifying colors lined the creases along the seams between the ceiling and the wall, paint crips and fresh, visually still wet but physically sooth and dry like a sheet of waxed paper. Along the walls stood a wide array of instruments that stretched from childish plastic guitars etched with unique designs, to large drums with abnormally big drumsticks and bass pedals.
Your padded feet brushed gingerly along the carpeted flooring, stifling the loud thud of your weight. The fabric was short but satisfyingly soft, almost like the plush fur that covered your metal exterior. Head lifting you observed the oddly uniquely designed ceiling. Painted on the ceiling was a portrait Montgomery ripping away on his bass guitar, star rimmed glasses tilted down the crease of his snout. Freddy performing stunts, mic held in hand with a cheery, bubbly grin across his bright features, Chica tearing notes from the copper cords that strung along her beaming hot pink and vicious blueberry colored guitar. On her right the infamous Wolf's head was thrown back in triumph as she curdled the cords of her Keytar a musical note tearing from her throat. Then on the left beside the large gator was an animal. Ears perked as their hands clutched a pair of vibrant stick, prepared to blow the cheering audience away with a single flick of their wrists and downfall of their arms.
The painting encased the ceiling in a scene forever stopped in time, a memory you can replay relentlessly when days are slow.
"Pretty cool huh?" Lukas chirped, snapping you from your dazed gaze your head turned, eyes unmoving as you observed the elegant strokes of the paintbrush's. You hummed nonchalantly in reply. "Is this the entertainment room of mine that I have been hearing oh so much about?" You puzzled no such expression on your nonexistent tongue. Intaking a breath Lukas hummed daintily. "Ahh~ the sweet-sweet smell of drying paint, and yes, this is your Entertainment room! (Y/N)'S BOOM ROOM!" He pronounced turning his back to you before pointing a callused thumb to his shoulders.
There engraved? onto his jumper was your signature and Entertainment room name shown in vibrant sewn words, a cheaply ironed thin photo of you with your thumb sprung up and grinning features melted into the fabric, just below your portrait read '(Y/N) HANDLER'
A chuffed 'huh' left your throat before strutting towards the male, now that you had actually looked at the man your head tilted slightly, he was quite a bit smaller than you were, his somewhat malnourished figure was abnormal for you compared to most children and adults who were quite plump. Yes, you have seen some lean people, but he was on another level. The stubble under his chin faint but noticeable from up close, thick but ragged sideburns hugging the shape of his slightly sunken in cheeks, he looked almost skeletal.
Lukas visibly slunk from your towering figure, usually enthusiastic behavior fading into sour anxiety. "C-can you not stare please?" He spoke meekly, eyes snapping to the plush carpeting beneath his booted feet. Your figure straightened, despite the urge to observing him more you did as he asked a regretful look on your metaled features. "I- heh, sorry this is really the first time I've seen a person this close before. I wasn't trying to cause you harm." You spoke anxiously the lie in your voice not as evident as you had figured.
Lukas glanced up at your towering figure. "N-NO! I would never think you would hurt me! I-I just- people usually pick and poke fun at me due to my height and well, weight." he squeaked with a strained voice. You shook your head a denying hum escaping your voice box.
"No, I would never." You stated bluntly a hand waving frantically, anxiety tugging at your wires. Lukas noticed the panic in your (E/C) hues as regret lace his own. The two of you exchanged apologies before being trapped in a very uncomfortable silence to which you had left the room after a hot minute.
Neon lights glared down at your form as you made your way through the main lobby.
The building was silent, sun setting just behind the horizon painting the sky above in smooth warm pigments, almost like a canvas. Your feet slowed to a stop at the glass doors, the colors were hypnotizing, almost enticing you to push a padded palm to its surface, you could mentally hear the cry of the door's hinges crying out in obedience, you could almost feel the cool summer kissing your plush fur, invisible arms embracing you-
"(Y/N)!" You were startled from your trance, (E/C) hues still staring at the open door before you, darkly pigmented palm plush against the clear surface. Just as you expected, the warm breeze groped your figure like a pair of delicate hands admiring your figure.
The outside smelt fresh unlike the thick smell of burnt oil and melted cheese, a delicate scent of daisies embedding itself into your programing like a hot branding. You wanted to go outside, for just a single moment, let the wind take you places you may never see.
You were tugged back harshly, a large hand gripping your wrist joint tightly. Head snapping back your vibrant orbs met with the lemony citrus ones that stare back at you widely. The glass door hissed to a close, clicking as it locked into place.
Roxanne released your wrist hesitantly with a relived breath hand slapping over her breast plate patting over the metal where her heart would be located, her breath was labored as if she had been running. "W-What are you doing!?" She huffed breathlessly.
Your mouth opened to speak only for it to close again unable to find the words to explain what exactly you were doing. Roxanne's gold hues narrowed at you slightly pointing towards the glass confinements behind you. "We can't go out there!" She stated seeming to catch her breath slightly, straightening up she swept a hand over her tail smoothing the ruffled fur. "Why not?" You puzzled innocently.
Roxanne looked at you firmly straightening her torso that clicked and spurred. "Because the water and stuff that falls from the sky will destroy our body's, we'll rust!" She spoke placing a delicate palm to your shoulder head tilting. There is a better reason but that's a story for a different day." She said solemnly, you nodded slowly stepping away from the clear doors. "But other than that, Freddy wanted us all to meet up during closing time." She directed a finger behind her as if to point to the destination the meeting was going to be.
You nodded with a hum, "thank you for letting me know- I'm not sure I'm going to be there I'm just really tired." You spoke, after almost escaping outside you had suddenly felt extremely tired, well that was enough adrenaline for today, I guess.
"B-But- didn't you just wake up from your coding? I thought you would be charged and ready to go." She said brows furrowing. You rubbed the back of your head, mind snapping back to when Lukas was talking to you. "Yeah, I was put on reduced power."
"For what?" She questioned face contorting into genuine confusion. Your shoulders lifted before falling heavily. "I guess it's to see if my systems accept the coding completely or if there is any 'faulty' coding. Thats what Lukas told me." You replied placing a hand over your chest as if to signal where the disc was located.
Roxanne nodded widely, lime-colored bangs sweeping over her shout gingerly, not asking any further questions. "Well, you go and charge, so you don't shut down on us, the kids missed you enough already so don't want to keep your little fans waiting. It's not like they won't make me their new favorite!" She said sarcastically, whipping her hair around dramatically gaining a hearty chuckle from you, to which she joined with a warm smile. "Well, I'm going to go charge-n BUT! Stay away from my kiddo's or I might have to beat you at your race way!" You chuckled playfully gaining a wink from the wolf before vocally shooting two fingers' guns, "I can't promise anything, but I'll talk to you later" She chuckled jogging through the passing doors and up the escalader.
Watching as the grey wolf slid from your vision and around the corner the smile on your face wavered as you glanced back towards the clear doors that separated you from the outside. The sun had set, only a few yellow rays streaked across the sky followed by the few stars that littered as much of the sky as you could see.
With a heavy sigh you strolled to your room.
Maybe one day you could run through the grass and embrace the wind back.

"Sounds like you and Monty have gotten closer!" An arm is thrown over your shoulders causing a yelp to escape your lips at the sudden weight. Glancing up at the white chicken you gave a soft grin before nodding slightly. "What happened? Because I got yelled at for making a mess in the kitchen that I vividly remember cleaning and the mess in his golf course." She quizzed quirking a thin brow voice laced with an unreadable tone, leaning against your brightly pigmented vanity.
Your eye widened slightly at the mention, ears jerking down slightly as you chuckled nervously, shifting uncomforting in your seat, clinging to the neon pillow that sat on your lap. Mouth opening to speak. "W-Well, I may have made the messes, and I apologize for getting you in trouble Chica, it's just that Montgomery wasn't at the little celebration last night and I felt bad, so I tried bringing him some food last night but it uh- got cold..." You breathed out the last part, vibrant (E/C) orbs shot to the floor, suddenly finding the rather cricked tiles interesting. "And when we talked last night, I brought him back into the kitchen to make more but then I remembered-"
"-He likes it cold" Chica broke in with a knowing nod, the tuffs of feathers atop of her head waving smoothly at the action. "Honestly, I'm surprised he didn't drag you out of his Golf course, that's what he did to Freddy." She chuckled pushing herself from the place she stood her fuchsia hues admired the vibrant room she stood in, beak slightly agape. This being her first time in your room she still could not get over how different it looked compared to the others. "This place is amazing, it's so...-"
"-Bright, I know, it's been giving my programing problems. I wish I knew how to turn the damned black lights off. It's starting to irritate me." You hissed with a strained voice raising a finger to massage your temple with a padded palm, careful not to accidentally chip the paint or even scuff your plush obsidian colored fur. Chica nodded again with a light hum, "Oh, (Y/N)" Chica turned her head to glance at your seated form, pillow now resting behind your head as you observed the ceiling above. Unlike the rest of the room was red with support beams.
Seems like they hadn't finished when I arrived. You dialoged mentally as you reluctantly glanced toward the female standing next to the brightly colored instruments. Chica lifted a gloved finger in thought, seeming to have forgotten what she was about to say. After a moment of silence and groan from the chicken her fingers snapped, cherry hues perking as she nodded to herself leaving you questioning and slightly concerned. "Officer Vanessa wanted to see you before the show today! She said it was something about your entertainment room!"
"Entertainment room?" You questioned lips pulled into a thick line showing that you were clearly clueless as to what she was getting at. Chica nodded with a bubbly giggle. "Yes silly, we all have entertainment rooms! like..." She paused resting her head in her palm before again perking. "Monty has Monty Golf, Freddy has Fazer Blast! And Bonnie has Bonnie bow-" She stopped last word extending on her tongue, cursing mentally she glanced away from your figure as if embarrassed, eyes laced with a familiar emotion.
Resentment.
Irritation sparked through your wires at this realization, why did they have to look at you like that when that character was mentioned? Yes, you knew that Bonnie was once a big part of the band, but it wasn't your fault that he was decommissioned and thrown away. You weren't even thought of when he was scrapped.
A huff left your snout at her wavering gaze before pushing yourself from your spot, no longer finding comfort in the suddenly stiff cushioning. Your gears let out a stiff audible cry in protest as you stood causing the girl to look back at you with apologetic eyes, without a glance you strode towards the door, the ear-piercing sound no longer as noticeable. With a dismissing wave the door opened obediently as you spoke. "Well, I'm going to go and see what she needs, If I'm going to be performing today then I better get going huh?" You spoke blandly stepping out of the room, door slamming closed behind you are leaving the band member behind in silence.

"Your leg joints are still a bit tight, so I'm going to have to loosen them." placing the tablet on the desk she turned her head, bonded hair pulled tight into a ponytail, bangs slicked back, a few strands tickling the base of her forehead. Vanessa directed a hand towards the protective cylinder. "You will need to step in here so I can loosen them up, your tablet also says that you need your ear springs adjusted too." She stated with a huff as you trudged stiffly into the cylinder, propping yourself onto the padded stretcher like furniture.
It took a few moments for the blond to enter the cylinder due to typing away at the computer and gathering the things she would need.
It was odd, feeling the joints loosen, and the wires being shifted around so she could reach access to the places needed adjusting. It didn't take as long, that was till she made her way to the ear springs.
Vanessa's lips were pulled into a displeased frown as she tried to reach her lean fingers into the tight space, moving your ear's out of the way before crossing her arms, a low growl leaving her throat. You quirked a brow at the human beside you before your eyes focused on the object in her hand, twirling around her fingers.
A violet disc, spun around her fingers swiftly, giving you only a few moments to catch a glance at the unique design engraved into the plastic covering. The words were scrapped messily on the plastic surface making it almost unreadable and incomprehensible, opening your mouth to speak you hummed.
"What may that be Officer Vanessa?" You puzzled; voice laced with a somewhat unreadable tone. She perked at the sound of your voice breaking her train of thought, she turns the disc around reading the rough surface with a shrug. "It's supposed to be a disc with the new songs you will be playing in your entertainment room for the kids. I can't find your damned import." She grumbled in what seemed to be defeat. You perked at this leaning forwards slightly. There in the little of your back was a port.
"You could have just asked; I know that I am a new piece of equipment and not built like the rest of my band mates." You paused, feeling the warmth of her palm run down your spine, and the said disc slide into its place. You groaned at the searing pain that shot from your wires, surrounding every joint painstakingly. Vanessa glanced at your pained expression with a furrowed brow. "Sorry (Y/N), It's gonna hurt for a bit, your body is trying to read the programing and such. I'll leave you here for a bit, I don't think you should perform today so that you don't play the wrong song." She chuckled dryly turning away from your laying figure. Exiting the cylinder, she nodded to herself leaving you to comprehend the new programing.
Sorry for the short chapter I have been quite tired and lazy lol,

An exasperated groan rattled your vocal wires, slumping onto the neon furniture, gears spurring in exhaustion. It had been a long day, a VERY long day. your wrist gave an auditable pop as it rolled, releasing pleasure from under the joint.
The green room door flung open with a clunk as a familiar figure stepped inside.
With a bow of your head Vanessa pulled your operation tablet from her belt. With a hefty chuckle her sapphire orbs directed to your slouched form (E/C) orbs directed to your brightly colored feet. "Looks like you had rough day, huh?" She mumbled, you nodded with an autotuned hearty chuckle. "Yeah, but it was worth it! I got to meet so many cool people, but a small handful were just God awful." You snickered, head lifting from your slouched position with a snarky eyeroll.
"Well, your system looks fine, your tablet says your joints are a bit stiff but keep moving around and you should be good by tomorrow. Closing time is at eleven thirty, so be sure to get here before then so you're not getting locked out of your room." The blond lectured waving a finger as if to make her point more meaningful. You nodded with a lazy salute. "Yes ma'am" turning on her heel she strode towards the door, swiping her card as she did.
Silance filled your room as the door closed with a loud click. Leaning back against the soft furniture your eyes scanned, observing the vibrant colors scattered around the Neon themed room.
Wallpaper black with brightly colored shapes, littered with a bubbly drawing of face that would glow when your black lights would switch on. In the left corner near the unnaturally bright yellow and blue vanity sat a large neon drum set.
God was all of these bright colors giving you a migraine. Clutching your eyes shut you pressed a padded finger to where your temple would be located, a failed attempt to sooth the ever-growing headache?
With a huff you clapped your hands together before pushing yourself from the once again vibrant furniture. Rolling your eyes slightly you headed toward the metal sliding door that opened immediately, seeming to catch you off guard.
Vanessa had to use a card so why didn't you?
With a shake of your head, your legs trudged forwards tiredly, foot pads aching at the action. brushing the feeling away you strode through the main hall, observing the bits and pieces encased in thick glass.
must be a sort of museum, what an odd place to build a place for children.
you dialogued mentally, (E/C) Hues again raking over the wide hall. Quirking a brow, you noticed the other four rooms, curtains drawn and lights off.
"Huh," you chuffed before mumbling "must be shut down for the night." Arms folded in front of you slightly you made your way towards the main lobby.
This place was way bigger, and I mean WAY bigger than what you expected it to be, for God's sake there was a golden twenty-foot Freddy Fazbear statue inside!
Brows furrowing your mind grew blank.
"How the Hell did I not see that?" You gaped, head leaning back to properly look at the giant statue before you.
"(Y/N)! There you are!" Your brightly pigmented ears perked at the squeaky, hyper feminine tone. Chica jogged down the stairs above that you had yet again not noticed. The white chicken bounced as she walked. "You seem impossibly happier, what's the occasion." You hummed brow perking slightly as you asked. She chuckled excitedly beak spreading into a wide grin as she spoke. "Well, me and the others were waiting for you! I made some pizza to celebrate your first official and successful performance!" Your gears fluttered at her words, before you could speak a gloved hand gripped the join to your wrist, tugging you away from the lobby and up the escalader stairs with a yelp.
You giggled slightly stumbling behind the taller female who had pretty much dragged you from your peaceful stroll.
"Calm down Chica! Your gonna dislocate my join you keep pulling on me like that!" You snickered breathlessly. The said female spit raspberries, waving a dismissing hand in your direction. "PSH, your over exaggerating!" She squeaked, sliding doors opening loudly with a clang. Skidding to a stop you struggled, padded feet skidding, and sliding from lack of friction. Within seconds you had crashed into your female friend.
Jolting forward Chica giggled. "I AM SO SORRY" You cried. "You're alright, the floors were waxed before everyone left- but! We are here!" (E/C) orbs directing to where she had been leading you to, was a large table, Black cloth draped over its surface. Atop the cloth was a bright combination of neon paper plates and silverware. The air smelled of cumin and oily pizza.
Again, your gears throbbed at the sight before you. "I- Chica, you didn't have too." the said white chicken placed a finger to your (snout/lips) with a hush. "I'm not the only one who thought of this! Come on out guys!" As those words rolled from her tongue a nearby door was thrown open with a clank. Head snapping to the sound a bellowing laugh left your throat.
Infront of you stood Roxanne and Freddy Fazbear littered in cooking ingredients, flour, cinnamon, and yep Cumin. Your laughter bellowed through the small party room. Clutching the base of your stomach you cried out.
The others joining your humored harmony. Swiping a fake tear from your cheek you stuttered. "Y-You didn't- oh my lord- you didn't have to do this, you all have already made me feel so welcomed but this, isn't this a bit much?" You breathed.
Freddy chuckled anxiously, rubbing the back of his head. "Now that you say something, yeah it may be, but we wanted to celebrate! Today you did absolutely amazing on stage despite how visibly uncomfortable and nervous you were, you pulled through and gave the audience a perfect performance!" He spoke boldly as Roxanne rushed from the kitchen, pizza pan in hand. The intoxicating smell of pizza again wafting in your nostrils, if you had a tongue your mouth would be watering.
clearing his throat Freddy began once again. "So, we wanted to happily and properly welcome you to our own little family!"
Placing the smoldering pan of greasy rations onto the clothed table Roxanne grinned cheekily. "Welcome home (Y/N)" she spoke boldly, almost meeting Freddys fatherly aura. "What'cha watin' for? Dig in!"
___
The warm sound of laughter and conversation clung to your ears. Comforting atmosphere wrapping around your smaller figure like a secure quilt.
Freddy gave a cheeky grin as he dished out the cuisine, placing a piece of pizza onto the plate in front of you. Nodding toward the bear in appreciation you lifted the slice to your (Snout/beak/lips).
Even without a tongue the exquisite flavors danced around your mouth like a memorable tango.
Inhaling a breath, you looked up from the half-eaten plate of Pizza, eyes skimming over the animatronics that sat near you.
It amazed you, just a week ago you had arrived, an anxious, and stuttering mess. Too nervous to even step in their line of view or make the smallest peep in fear of being judged. But you were welcomed with open arms! Well- most of them welcomed you with open arms.
With furrowed brows your hazel hues again raked over the few animatronics.
Ones missing...
from across the table, you spotted a single neon green plate, untouched and unserved.
Montgomery.
He was the missing piece.
suddenly the happy mood you were in turned sour.
How could you forget about Montgomery? He was a part of the band too.
hesitantly Standing from your seat you chuckled, playing into the comforting atmosphere. Strolling towards the empty chair you picked up the plate, sliding it swiftly under your own successfully hiding the paper dish. Making your way towards the kitchen doors you patted a heavy hand on Freddy's shoulder. "I'm going to go and get a few more pieces of Pizza then go for a walk, I haven't been able to check the place out entirely yet. I'll be back by the time our rooms lock."
Freddy nodded swallowing the mouthful he had eaten. "Alright, don't take too long kid, you need to recharge for tomorrow's performance." He lectured as you trotted towards the kitchen doors that opened with a clink.
The strong scent of Pizza hit you like a truck as the hot air nipped at your nose and thin mettle of your ear. With scanning eyes, you spotted a freshly pulled pizza, steam still rolling from its surface, glancing around your shoulder you saw no one.
Sliding the green plate from under your own you placed a decent serving on both plates you again raked the room, seeing if anyone had seen you.
Quickly and efficiently your stomach hatched snapped open with a hiss, sliding the plate of pizza into your hatch it snapped back closed with another hiss.
"What are you doing? There is a cooler pizza right here you know?" The familiar voice of Roxanne made you jolt, head snapping to the girl.
You hadn't even heard the door open.
You hummed in reply with a nod. "Yeah, I'm aware, but it so damn good when its till hot." You beamed with a squeal. Roxanne snickered at your words slightly before turning towards the door once again. "See ya later (N/N), don't get lost!" She snickered, again leaving you alone in the room.
You heaved a sigh placing a padded hand on your chest plate, where your heart would be located. The gears spurred and grinded spastically at the scare.
With a shake of your head, you headed towards the door's kitty corner to the party rooms, opening with a pss.
As the door shut with a loud clank you began to stroll around the Plex. Neon lights glared down at you harshly with judging pigments that complimented yours quite nicely.
Unlike last time you were not wondering mindlessly hoping to stumble upon something that would perk your interest, but you were an animatronic on a mission.
With heavy footsteps your eyes scanned the walls, every so often you would poke your head into the party rooms, each room with specific themes for each animatronic. (E/C) raked the surrounding areas reading each glowing sign, as you searched for the oversized Gator.
as time passed you finally came to the conclusion.
You were lost.
You had stopped reading the signs after about ten minutes of running around, careful not to spill Montgomery's pizza inside of your stomach hatch. Getting tired of lugging your plate of food around you eventually dumped it into the mascot themed trash cans before continuing your adventure.
Every so often you would catch sight of the small CAUTION robots, you admired the small ears that poked from the top of your head obviously, the signature Freddy Fazbear ears but excluding the earing and the small wiggle they did when he would express happiness.
You sighed heavily, slouching slightly, still cautious as to not spill the food inside of your stomach cavity. With an anxious pause your glowing hues scanned the rather exotic landscape.
Large plastic palm trees littered the edges, riding the walls, rubber leaves reflecting the green and purple lights that illuminated most of the said room.
The sound of running water and growling monsters made your wires tense anxiously.
"Why are you in here? Shouldn't you be with the others?" A deep raspy voice growled threateningly.
You jolted, coiling at the sudden voice.
Montgomery
How many times were you going to be scared today?
With trembling hands, you rubbed the back of your head. "W-Well.. The others were throwing a party. I-I noticed you weren't present and uh-"
"Came to find me? Heh, aren't you so kind." You froze as he mocked your pity with narrowed eyes, clearly amused with your vague explanation. Montgomery stepped out of his hiding spot from behind a cluster of palm trees, leaning against the tree's base he tilted his star glasses to get a good look at your tense figure. Ruby orbs scanning your figure with a quirked brow. "You never answered my question, why are you here?" He spoke again this time more bluntly voice harsh but strong. Snapping from your frozen state your eyes shot around at a frantic attempt to avoid eye contact.
"Well- erm-" You paused lifting an index finger nervously. "One moment please!" You breathed out stressfully, turning your back to the gator male.
With a sigh Montgomery crossed his arms. Mouth thinly lined in irritation. He was not in the mood for this. As you turned your back, he heard a faint hiss come from your system as your spine seemed to dislocate. reaching an arm into your stomach cavity it hissed again with a clank.
Turning back around slowly he noticed the green plate in your palm.
"It- uh- kinda got cold on my way here..." You spoke, tone laced with sadness as your (E/C) Hues averted to the floor.
He chuffed scoff, vermilion eyes rolling as he lifted a snarled lip.
"I don't know what you're doin' tryin' ta be all nice to me but I aint gonna be falling for your shenanigans." he growled lowly, a district hiss escaping his throat threateningly. Your ears coiled leaning closer to your skull as your eyes finally collided with his, boring into one another as if to assert some sort of dominance. "What are you trying to say?" You spoke, voice unwavering.
Montgomery bared his razored fangs as he rushed forwards. The once firm gaze the two of you held now fell, your system now overtaken with fright as his fanged mouth came closer to your face.
Instinctively raising your arms in defense, you flinched, green plate falling from your hand as an animalistic roar came from his throat.
Your eyes clenched shut harshly, jaw tense as you expected his jaw to come in contact with your smaller figure.
But nothing came...
"I thought I fucken told ya I didn't want ya in here!" He barked gripping the security bot's head harshly. You shifted, hands falling to your side.
He wasn't going after you...
"I- What?" You mumbled slightly as the bot was shoved from the room by the oversized gator. Your gears grinded as relief coursed through your wires.
The door closed with a scape as Montgomery turned towards your disassociated figure, staring at him mindlessly. The gator quirked a brow, raising a finger to lower his glasses into the bridge of his snout.
"S-so you weren't going after me?" You breathed gaining a hearty chuckle from the green mascot. Montgomery ran a gloved hand through his wine colored mohawk heaving a sigh and the shake of his head. "But- you rushed at me- you said something about shenanigans? -"
"No, I wasn't going after you, I was talking to the fuckin bot- they are always scouting shit." Montgomery stopped as he turned towards you again. "Wait, you thought I was going to hurt you?" An irritated growl escaped his throat followed with that same distinct hiss following close behind. "They-" he paused, slapping a hand to his side, tail slapping the floor harshly. "They told you about the Bonnie incident, didn't they? God damn it- I didn't hurt that fucking rabbit. He attacked me first!" He seethed pointing an accusing finger in your direction, rage swirling within his scarlet orbs. You stepped back; hands raised defensively head shaking, denning his accusations.
"I- Who's Bonnie?" You squeaked nervously. Montgomery's snout opened again to throw another accusation only to have the words caught in his throat. It was obvious as he stared into your vibrant (E/C) hues, you had no idea as to who Bonnie was.
Shit.
Your black plushed hands slowly fell as you stepped forwards, toward the gator, careful not to accidentally slip on the discarded plate of pizza that had fallen from your palm just moments ago. Montgomery rubbed a heavy palm under his star framed glasses.
Gingerly placing a hesitant hand on his shoulder, or what you could reach of it. Sliding his hands down his features he glanced down at your smaller form. "Would you like to talk it out? If not, it's alright." You spoke with such delicacy; you spoke to him with such calmness and an oddly caring tone a tine he had never really heard from anyone towards him, even though you had yet to correctly converse with him. So much for first impressions. And boy do they stick.
Montgomery heaved a sigh, anger subsiding into somewhat of embarrassment but agreeing none the less.
--
The sound of running water surrounded the two of you as you leaned over the railing of his gator lift way, gazing onto the golf course beneath your feet.
The green and purple lights illuminated the rubber palm leaves that hung lowly within the dimly lit room.
Montgomery heaved a sigh as he glanced your way. "I'm sure you want an explanation for what I said earlier." He hummed softly as he leaned over the edge, hands laying limp as he did so. You glanced in the gator's direction as an indication you were listening, even though you had not asked for an explanation but if hearing his pain and being able to help him with his emotions would help, you were willing.
Montgomery breathed in with a hiss as he spoke. "The first few weeks I was brought into the pizza plex, there was a rabbit- bunny sorry." You nodded with a soft hum as if afraid to scare him off. "Him and Freddy were very close, as I grew closer to the bunny as well, he was a great guy but one day I invited him to play some mini golf. It had taken me longer than normal to get to my golf course here because of maintenance and such, but when I got here- all of my lights were off. I don't ever turn my lights off completely but when I got in here it was like a dark presence was looming over the area. I swear I could feel the things hot breath." He explained a violet gloved hand coming to rub the back of his neck as if feeling that same sensation again with a shiver as he continued hesitantly. "But when I walked in all I heard was a low animalistic rumble, with the hypnotizing but familiar glow of his eyes he lunged, I didn't want to hurt him, so I didn't fight back. When everything finally stopped, he was looming over me. Violet eyes glaring daggers into my disheveled body. I thought it was the end of me, but when morning came so did the employees. Officer Vanessa was the one to find me. After reviewing camera footage, they saw what had happened and Bonnie had been deconditioned and thrown away." His head dropped, once hard ruby hues now dull and strained at the memory of his lost friend, you lifted a reassuring hand to his back rubbing calming circles, his form slackened slightly as he turned a slight glance to your smaller figure. "Ever since then, I was repaired and given these claws, they were made for me to protect myself." His hands lifted, revealing the said claws that clenched harshly. "Ever since his deconditioning everyone pointed the blame to me, I am told daily by costumers that I will never be as good as he was. But when you were performing today, that smile and energy you had was immaculate it was enough to make this ol' gator smile, but I heard someone say something about you while we were performing, and I lost it." He paused glancing up at your vibrant neon hues. "When I looked in your direction during the performance, I wasn't looking at you, I was glaring at the teens next to you. I noticed how uncomfortable and anxious I made you so when everything was over, I stormed off, angry at myself for making you feel like that and here we are now..."
"It's alright." You said bluntly, gazing out onto the somewhat comforting paradise beneath the two of you, lifting from the railing you gave him a reassuring smile making his head snap into your direction snout nearly smacking you in the head. "I don't care what they say about me, I'm not here to impress some asshole teens with their heads up their ass and adults who scoff at my- our presence, I'm here to make people happy no matter the cost. Even if it costs me both my mental and physical health- erm- programing." You stated gaining a pat on the head from Montgomery who hummed in satisfaction.
"I like you kid, you're smarter than ya seem and that's pretty impressive for someone who has been here for only a week and had a single performance." You chuckled elbowing the gator in the side gaining a playful groan in response.
"Enough of this sappy shit, how about we go to the party room and get you something to eat eh?-" You paused suddenly eyes averting to the neon green plate below. Montgomery followed your line of sight seeing the somewhat squashed pieces of pizza on the carpeted floor. "Sure- The janitor bots will clean that up." He hummed leaning his star framed glasses down on the bridge of his nose before sending you a playful wink.
