She definitely knows her taste in fashion! Though I'd less call the dress "childish" and more... carefree? "Fun"? I'm not sure of a better word but despite being fancy it looks like a fun outfit to move around in! Also it vaguely reminds me of her old design's dress lol
Helluva boss animation can be compared to some other cartoons made by big networks in terms of overall quality even it is "just" a youtube indie series! And that got me thinking… How is every Helluva boss episode funded? Is having a big fanbase can make you rich and famous?
I honestly have very little knowledge of how they get funded or how the industry works, but I'd assume the official merch they sell helps a lot! The fanbase also probably helps a lot since, correct me if I'm wrong, youtube's system monetizes based on views
Do you think Carmilla will become an ally or enemy of the Hazbin Hotel?
Based on how she helped Vaggie with training, I'd assume Carmilla will become an ally because if she really didn't care about them at all she could've easily just killed her to prevent information from leaking (information being how Vaggie knew she killed the angel). After training them she also provided the hotel with angelic weapons to defeat the Exorcists, I'd say that's pretty ally behaviour lol

Despite Valentino probably wanting to get into the lust ring, he’s sooner to be accepted into the greed ring for his personality alone (if sinners could leave the pride ring in the first place)
Why were Niffty and Husk chosen by Alastor?
Alastor probably knew Niffty to some degree when they were alive or when Niffty first died and they’ve been friends ever since because Alastor finds her personality and “twisted little mind” entertaining, whereas Niffty probably creeps out anyone else except Alastor, leaving her friend options quite limited (Husk seems to only tolerate her at the beginning because he has to due to his deal with Alastor).
Husk was “chosen” by Alastor because he saw an overlord in trouble and took that opportunity to make a deal him purely out of self-interest. Husk’s soul belongs to Alastor and he has to do anything he says lest Alastor decide he’s no longer worth keeping “alive”
What is your opinion on human characters from Helluva Boss? they all seem unlikeable except for Mrs. Mayberry
I don’t fully have an opinion on them, but I don’t like them in the sense you’re not supposed to like them.
They’re all intentionally written as extremely dumb and dislikable to pass as comedy, which is funny sometimes, but it makes it seem like there’s not a single threat to the imps as they traverse Earth (which is fine, but we also know the Truth Seekers might come back as main antagonists based on their previous exit but even they were complete pushovers)
I think the only humans I can remember off the top of my head that weren’t complete idiots were from the same episode as Ms. Mayberry. She’s also the only sinner we see actually celebrate the successful job with IMP afterward (I wouldn’t fully count Loopty Goopy and Lyle Lipton as “celebrating” with the cast afterward, they were happy and sharing laughs yes but they didn’t throw a party with them or anything).

Probably a floor halfway up the hotel? I don’t want it to be very high because if I have to take an elevator crowded with other people for longer than ten seconds I will burst into tears, or stairs, I would not like to climb too many stairs.

Lucifer is just trying to connect with Charlie in any way possible, and if Charlie ended up dating a guy that probably wouldn’t make too much of a difference to him as objecting against her relationship would only push Charlie further away from him emotionally-
That’s just what I would assume though lol- on somewhat on a side note but I still think is worth mentioning:
His reaction to Charlie knowing Alastor wasn’t very positive but I think that’s more because of how Alastor comes off and also his constant challenges against Lucifer rather than Alastor’s gender

I think Val is sluttier because there’s always hot chicks with him and he often sleeps with Angel Dust (based on Addicted and Poison music video)

I’d assume Vox is fine with it, he only seems to mind if all of Valentino’s attention is on someone else (angel)- but the actual sleeping around part he probably doesn’t mind or even encourages it
I don’t think monogamy is in Valentino’s vocabulary, and honestly Vox would probably even use his cameras to watch him since, well, this scene

I love Hazbin Hotel! finished all episodes and rewatched it again. Animation is good but some of the story are quite rushed. Whats your thoughts? do you think it’s too fast paced? they should really make it 11 episodes for one season lol

I agree, I find the plot itself is a bit rushed and would’ve done better with more buildup for the arcs and such- and the songs, while absolute bangers, don’t exactly line up with what we’ve been shown.
“Out of Love” for example is an amazing song that I’d listen to over and over, but put in the context of the show it doesn’t quite fit- it’s meant to be Camila guiding Vaggie to a different way of thinking to defeat angels, and it does that well, but the problem is that Vaggie’s thinking doesn’t match what Camila initially thinks it is.
She says that Vaggie is “out for vengeance”, when really she’s not- not at all were we led to believe Vaggie was fighting for anything other than Charlie in the first place because we’ve never seen her as a vengeful character. Based on the show itself, it would make more sense that Vaggie is already fighting for love because the whole reason she’s even talking to Camila is for Charlie and the hotel, yet the song would assume otherwise.
As another example; the Vee’s part in the finale doesn’t quite make sense, even under the pretence of them not knowing Alastor is still alive.
They speak of a power vacuum, which would be a completely fair assumption if Lucifer wasn’t also on the hotel’s side. Plus, Alastor was already gone for seven years, why wasn’t there a power vacuum then if there’s one now?
Hazbin Hotel would’ve likely been better paced if they didn’t reveal Adam’s true intentions to the audience so soon, have the idea of “is it possible to redeem a sinner at all?” brewing as the main focus for a little bit more, as it would allow for more character focused episodes.
As a side note: it probably would’ve been really cool if Adam was revealed to be genocidal near the end of season one, and possibly make a gateway into the main plot of season two being defense against the excorists.
I honestly wouldn’t mind if there were a few filler episodes as well, in the sense of them attempting to or actually improving as the series went on since it lets us, the viewer, get more attached to the characters at a slower pace and truly get to know them. They don’t necessarily need to do practice exercises every episode, but every now and then would be nice (again, under the pretext of Hazbin season one ranging much more than 8 episodes).
A few filler episodes might’ve also allowed us to witness more world building at a slower pace if the hotel group went to different areas within the Pride Ring as a sort of field trip.
Another issue is that without the pilot we have no idea where these characters came from, why they’re in the hotel, or even why they “agreed” to help at all- and considering the pilot isn’t considered entirely canon anymore that’s quite a big problem.
It feels like as if we’ve missed an entire episode if you watch the series without the pilot- and yes starting shows like this is possible and it works, but considering what we had in the pilot already explained to us where they came from and their initial intentions, they probably should have incorporated at least some of it into episode one. Many people who find Hazbin for the first time will not know there’s a pilot on youtube if they only scroll on Amazon. Because of this, they would be missing key factors of the characters and their initial introduction for the rest of the show.
Overall, I think Hazbin Hotel was great song-wise and absolutely amazing animation-wise, but the writing should’ve been more character focused. As one of my friends said to me: Vivzie’s strength is in character writing and allowing the characters to move the plot, not the plot moving the characters.
But we also have to keep in mind that creating a new show on a streaming platform no doubt has quite a few restraints, and many of these problems could’ve come from that- and if this is true, then hopefully now that Hazbin has done so well they’ll be able to better stretch out future episodes and make seasons longer. This is also under the assumption that Hazbin Hotel will be much longer than two seasons, though.
What’s your opinion on Valvette’s old design and personality?
I actually don’t know much about Velvette’s old personality, but I can without a doubt say I love her new design a lot better than the old one.
Her old one was very chaotic, which might’ve been accurate to her personality back then- but if I saw that design with her new personality I would feel like it didn’t quite fit, as she is very fashion oriented and her design being crazy to the point of unhinged would be a bit odd.
Plus I find her new design much more fun to draw lol (mostly because of the hair)
Tell us why you love creating art on tumblr or what your experience in general has been so far?
I mostly just love creating art in general, and I’ve been on and off tumblr for years (albeit with different accounts), so I decided why don’t I just start posting my stuff? Maybe it’ll make someone else laugh too
That was what I originally thought when I started making the genshin stock image redraws a while back, and I’d say the sentiment still holds true today.
I just find tumblr is a lot more community and interactive based then other platforms, people I see on here are viewed more like fellow fandom nerds rather than hotshot celebrities I’m too intimidated to talk to, even if I’m still scared to do so sometimes lol- I suppose the general vibe I get from tumblr is just more comforting than that of other platforms, as funny as that may be
Do you have a headcanon why Vox hate Alastor so much? do you think it’s because Alastor doesn’t want to work with the Vees? what do you think?
I don’t really have my own headcanon on why Vox might hate Alastor so much, but considering they took a picture together at some point in the past I have a feeling there’s more to it then just Alastor refusing to work with the Vees
Either the camera they used for the photo was one of those monochrome ones, or the photo itself is very very old (this is more likely, as the photo appears somewhat faded)
This would imply they had a history long before the seven years Alastor was gone, but to my knowledge we also don’t have a concrete year where Hazbin season one takes place, just the vague understanding that it’s sometime close to the present based on the technology people use.
The obsession Vox has with him runs deep, especially when Vox voluntarily (though accidentally) harms his reputation by immediately going on the offensive and getting very clearly destroyed-
on a side note, this also makes him a hypocrite for telling Valentino to not make a scene and then goes and makes one himself lol
Vox and Alastor were also said to have fought, with Vox still mad about almost losing- and that was a big blow to his reputation (as he would perceive it). This would also be a big factor in how much he hates Alastor, as Vox cares about his image a lot.
I’m honestly really excited to see them interact more, but I’m also curious to see Vox interact with other members of the hotel- how is he like with people who are Alastor’s (supposed) friends? Maybe he’s civil but in a passive aggressive way lol

Chazwick Thurman
I don’t hate him, but he is one of the characters on Helluva that I wouldn’t really want to see again. He’s funny and the bits with him were fine- but it got old a little quick to me
I only really consider him a “bigger character” because of his connection to Moxxie and Millie- and because he has a name you don’t have to dig for lol
The main characters in both Helluva and Hazbin I can appreciate as characters or find their antics funny even if I don’t like them, so I wouldn’t say I truly dislike anyone so far

Oh yes absolutely
In the poison video we see at the end that Vox is holding one of Valentino’s hands, and assuming they were making out by the matching blood (poison?) marks under their mouths, he was probably flirting with him (about to give a hand kiss, maybe?)
But the second Angel appears Vox looks completely unamused by his presence, and even leaves immediately upon realizing Valentino is looking at Angel as well.
Either he’s upset by Valentino’s treatment of Angel (unlikely, as he would’ve stepped in by now), or he jealous of Valentino’s focus/obsession being with Angel and not Vox.
Since the Vees can spy on the Hazbin Hotel gang from those cameras, do you think theres also hidden cameras in the hotel?? super creepy of them to do that (but it’s hell so idk what else to say lol)
Well the Vees tried to get Sir Pentious to put cameras in the hotel for exactly that reason, which didn’t work out very well- and since Alastor resides there I doubt he would let any hidden cameras pick up unglitched feed of him since he refused to be seen on the camera he even gave Vaggie.
I don’t think Vox would be able to successfully get any cameras into the hotel without someone noticing, but he would definitely try multiple times lol
