We need to raise total of $60,000. The evacuation costs for one adult are $5,000 and we are a family of 10 adults, so it's $50,000 and we have 5 children and each one costs $2,000 to evacuate.

Also I have put my new baby before 40 days and now i am  struggling to provide for my baby girl and her two other children. They urgently need warm clothes to protect them from the harsh weather and milk and other necessaities.

Please Help Us Raise $100 To Wash and Refill Our Neighborhood Water Tank and Build A Community Shower!

April 1st 2023

My partner and I are homeless trans women living in a squatter town in the desert called Slab City!

Our camp is dedicated to helping our neighbors and building a good community!

In Slab City there are no utilities, that means no electrical company, no gas company, and definitely no water company! Everyone has to provide their own for their own camp.

We have a 355 gallon tank that we let our neighbors fill jugs from. Every now and then we have to wash it out in order to make sure the tank is clean and healthy.

It costs $20 to hire someone to fill our tank with water to wash it out and another $40 to refill it with drinking water.

Right now we're nearing the bottom of the tank and we need your help to wash it out and fill it back up!

We are also trying to build a shower for some of the people in our neighborhood to get clean and be able to cool off during the summer.

It'll cost an additional $20 to buy the necessary equipment to build the shower and another $20 to fill the shower cube with non-potable water from the canal.

Neither of us have a regular income, but we're both involved in a project to better our local community. See more here and here.
