"I'm afraid I can't answer that." Unfortunately, there were certain firewalls that he couldn't always breach, and this happened to be one of them. He personally suspected it was a 50/50 chance if he was honest, but he wasn't allowed to say that even if he would like to. It was possible he could do his own pre-emptive studies on the creature. Non-invasive. All he would need was a little blood sample and he could do a little research of his own.
"Ah, sorry, Captain. According to protocol the only response I'm allowed is, 'of course you can trust your government'." His face was blank, but he still sighed. He of course knew exactly what they might do with such a creature. Perhaps they were being honest, but it was hard to say. He had worked with the Xeno Science division before they had tossed him out insisting that he was a 'malfunctioning' piece of equipment when he questioned the ethics. It was how he had managed to get bounced around so much from place to place. "I'll keep an eye on the creature until then." He may not be able to do much when the UC got it, but for the time being he could keep it secure.
'No, you mustn't go there.' 'What I'm trying to say is that I'm not afraid.' 'It's really good to see you.' 'Listen to them. Children of the night.' 'It's just a scratch.' 'I'll be loyal.' 'You can't her what I'm saying, but we're here.' 'To die, to be really dead...that must be glorious.' 'Don't throw my spider away from me!' 'The vampire attacks the throat.' 'Please don't ask me to do that.' 'How long have you had those little marks?' 'I hope you haven't taken my stories too seriously.' 'The strength of the vampire is that people will not believe in him.' 'It's your only hope.' 'You're going to live.' 'Isn't this a strange conversation for men who aren't crazy?' 'My blood now flows through her veins.' 'Your will is strong.' 'Why are you looking at me like that?' 'I love nights with fog.' 'There's that bat again!' 'You must go away from me!' 'Let me live, please!' 'We have him trapped!' 'I heard you coming but I couldn't say anything.' 'No, no, no. You must go.'
"Why would anyone want to go into the atmospheres of gas giants in a space exploration game" because that's where the space whales live. Obviously.

☎️ my first character i ever roleplayed: My werewolf OC that was part of the circus. (I honestly don't remember his name anymore) 🚕 my most embarrassing roleplay moment: My sentence was "she made his heartbeat faster" and autocorrect changed "heart" to "hand" so I was the butt end of many, many w*nking jokes. 🍷 a character i want to write but never made a blog for: No such thing exists. If I've wanted to try a character I've made a blog for it. I deleted most because they're not successful. (and I have deleted all of them except Ava, Zuko and my current OC so goes to show my failures as an RPer) 🦄 the best thing that's happened to me in roleplay this year: The Hogwarts AU has consumed my RP life in the best and most unexpected way... 📒 three blogs i couldn't live without: @starwrittenfates and @secrets-to-lose The third one is a secret because I don't want that person to get harassed off the site if people find out said person has a tumblr and I would simply wither without their beautiful, soul inspiring music. 🛍 the one thing i wish all of my followers knew about me: I don't necessarily want people to know it, but I think it is only fair for people to know that I have a condition related to having had covid so if I ever disappeared it isn't because I didn't want to RP anymore, it is because my condition checked me out of the hotel of life. Sorry that one is a bit dark.
//Kind of obsessed with the way Replicant's eyes glow and have now decided that synths in my verse have glowing eyes.
"It wasn't my life. I was implanted with an artificial personality based on memory recordings of General MacCallan's son who was killed in the war. There was enough of his brain left." Barely. And pieces of it at that. "Everything looks strange to me now, as if I don’t belong here. I'm afraid it’s me that’s out of place." His eyes tracked her movements as she paced. Sometimes a good way to expend nervous energy, but as of now it was a waste. She ought to be resting. "I only need to be certain you get into the right officials' hands, and they will do the right thing." That however may be a very complicated thing to accomplish with the doctor in the way.
