qsmp au that takes place right after flippa's first death where for easter they organize a big egg hunt but in the form of a game of hide and seek. the little eggs are meant to hide and the pairs are meant to find them. the eggs who manage to not get caught win. it happens in a forest near foolish's base.

charlie and mariana have to work together, of course, but soon they end up arguing about directions and split up because they think it'll be more efficient to cover a larger area. charlie goes on his own but his sense of direction is SHIT, and he ends up getting lost. his ego is too big though so he doesn't notice, or rather decides to ignore it, and continues searching beyond the area where the eggs are allowed to hide.

that's when he sees her.

at first it's just a rustle in the bushes, but then he catches a glimpse of familiar glasses, and before he knows it he's running, following after the shine of the lenses. often he stops, thinking he lost her, but then the shine of the glass is back, and he's off running again. he runs, and runs, and runs, screaming with all the strength in his lungs, until night falls, and a voice calls his name. he turns around. it's his wife, looking properly pissed off. he ignores her however, ignores the hundred swears and reproaches, and turns back around, but she's already gone.

that night is the first time mariana ever sees him cry.

listen to Riptide if you want a beautiful, tragic story about a crew finding family in each other. they had a song, go listen to Hole in Your Heart it's a banger. they also have women in love here and Goobleck. I can't speak for the later episodes but I watched up to 57 when it came out and there's daddy issues!!!!!! there is SO MANY daddy issues.

listen to Prime Defenders if you want the most painful pining of all time (there's superheroes and i'm crying hope this helps) and Charlie attempting to play the smart character for one season before realizing he Literally Can't. also fish dad and possibly the best depiction I've seen in a long time of an abusive father in mourning.

listen to Apotheosis if you want gay people who love so wholly and completely despite their destiny containing only pain and agony, who in turn extend that love to a being thought only to know violence. also Charlie saying "ough" with reverb. there's some really cool monster design from Condi here too!!!! I still gotta finish this one I just know they have sex

listen to Blood in the Bayou if you want to hear Charlie Slimecicle DM the most horrific and interesting branches of D&D I've personally played. Call of Cthulhu in its core is built around stories that don't end happy. stories where everyone dies. if you want the peak of Slimecicle storytelling and can handle graphic descriptions of body horror and gore, go here.

i really like the hc that q!slime and q!mariana really do love each other, they just dont know how to show it, and i think their lore really builds on this

like we know that q!slime had a bad childhood, with very obvious child neglect/abuse being shown to him, and we can most likely assume that came along with parents that fought all the time. we also hear him say things like "well my parents did xxx and i turned out fine!" which means he still doesnt understand that what was done to him was awful and abusive and was bad parenting

so is it really a stretch to assume that fighting is all he knows as love? something thats also very often seen is q!slime initiating fights while q!mariana attempts to stop them (like in the first egg stream when q!slime was constantly saying he wanted a divorce, q!mariana said they should visit Cancun to fix their relationship) so its obvious that q!slime is usually the one that starts a lot of pettier arguments (obviously the larger ones are permitted as q!mariana had been a shitty partner and parent)

i think this shows how despite the fact that q!mariana and q!slime really are head over heels in love with each other, both of them are so damaged that they have no idea how the hell to properly love each other.

anyways i just really hope that they can reconcile and teach each other how to love and i am delusional and i just want happy fluffy slimeriana pls for the love of god

i went to an amusement park today, so you guys know what this means.

besides their terrible eyesight, qcharlie and qmariana have two things in common. first off, they would do ANYTHING to make their daughter happy. second off, they are absolute PUSSIES. scaredy wet cats.

which is why they aren't thrilled at first at the idea of going to an amusement park. unfortunately for them, the first factor aka their love for a certain egg, is way stronger than the second. so when they see the excitement in their daughter's eyes, they comply without hesitation.

yeah it doesn't go well, to summarize it :

flippa : *points at an attraction*

charlie : oh flippa you wanna do the teacups? alright that seems fun doesn't it! :) what do you mean behi- oh.

and he looks at where flippa is REALLY pointing and it's the biggest fucking rollercoaster in the park. he's not thrilled. neither is his wife. they are both TERRIFIED.

but well they love their daughter and would NEVER admit to being scared in front of the each other, so here they go. they probably instinctively started holding hands during the ride and screamed in absolute horror while their daughter screamed in delight. honestly charlie's glasses probably fell and he had to spend the rest of the trip basically BLIND. flippa had an allergic reaction to God Knows Fucking What mid ride and Mariana was shaking violently and on the verge of throwing up.

finally they got off with a sigh of relief, happy to have won the battle, and turned to flippa only to find a sign with the word AGAIN shoved in their faces.

mariana decided it was enough fucking emotion for the day and faked a stomach ache, while charlie (he couldn't read the sign he's fucking blind) is oblivious, letting himself be pushed around by his daughter to what he doesn't know is the Second Worst Rollercoaster while his wife runs away.
