'nother question, why is Ragatha's opinion of Caine neutral-like?

Ragatha has this way of thinking where she refuses to blame Caine for any of the awful things that happen to her. She constantly tells herself she doesn't really mind his antics. After all, she believes that its her own fault she was stupid enough to get caught by the killer anyway.

It's finally the best time of year! Funnybunny week! For this year I decided to spice things up and do an au a day with the prompt from this year's list. Today's au is the spudsys au by my friend funnybreadd on tumblr and twitter, hope you enjoy!

The day was going by achingly slowly. It was Monday, which usually meant that not a lot of customers would be coming in due to work, but it also meant more focus on cleaning up whenever they had slow service. 

Pomni rubbed her eyes as she wiped down the counter, Gangle had placed her up there due to her excellent communication skills. She looked behind her, eyeing her boyfriend as he scrubbed each of the used kitchen utensils until they were squeaky clean. She and Jax had been dating for a while, moving in together last month. Despite their opposite personalities, they had actually formed a trusting and sweet relationship. Jax would cook for her, hold her when things felt dark, make her laugh to help her smile. And in return, she showed him kindness when he had none, she didn’t put up with his bullshit like the others, and she made him decide to become a better man for himself.

Despite the grueling job, it was what caused them to meet and fall in love. 

She sighed, throwing down the cloth and wiped the sweat off her forehead, all she wanted was to go home and cuddle up with her boyfriend while watching whatever was on the TV. 

A pair of shoulders gripped her shoulders, making her jump before relaxing that it was only Jax. She whacked him across the arm, “Did you really have to do that?”

The rabbit snickered, wrapping his arms around her and resting his head on her forehead, “Yup, your angry face is adorable.”

“Ugh,” she pouted as he pressed a kiss against her hair. “Is there a reason why you’re here?”

“Well, I finished washing up and thought I’d create a bit of entertainment before going home,” he smirked.

Pomni stared at him, “What did you do?”

“Just wait,” Jax snickered, holding her tight with excitement. 

“JAX! WHY IS THERE KETCHUP IN MY SHOES?!” Ragatha screeched.

“JAX! WHY IS THERE BURGERS ALL OVER MY OFFICE FLOOR?!” Gangle screamed. 

Pomni gasped, trying to escape Jax's hold so she could whack him again, but he held her tight and firm as he laughed into her shoulder, “What the hell is wrong with you?!”

“Come on! It’s funny!” He loosened his grip to look at her. “As if you don’t come up with funny things to do as well.”

Pomni pursed her lips, humming a little bit as though she were distracted. 

Jax raised his brow, “What did you do?”

Pomni was about to open her mouth to answer when a scream and a slam of a car door outside alerted them.

“WHO PUT SODA CUPS ON TOP OF MY CAR?!?!?!” Zooble stormed back inside, huffing with rage. “I TRIED TO DRIVE AWAY AND THEY SPILLED EVERYWHERE! DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG IT TAKES TO CLEAN MY CAR?!?!”

Pomni’s body shook with suppressed laughter, Jax joining her with more noisy guffaws. “Aw, Pom-Pom,” he kissed the side of her cheek. “Are you risking a write-up to prank people with me?”

“Well it’s like you said,” she giggled. “I like participating in funny things with you.”

doll and V go to the same school,, it's a international/private school. V is older than doll and uzi so she's in a different grade and despite going to the same school, she and doll don't cross paths often.

i was half considering their race and then remembered that they're drones and don't really have a race but doll still speaks russian SO i might as well have fun w it !!!! V is italian.

cuz of their strict school rules, doll has to tie her hair up since she doesnt want to cut her hair,, V already has short hair. their uniforms is as u can see in the pic cuz I CANT DESCRIBE CLOTHES SORRY SOBS

V keeps her glasses !!!! in her normal drone form. how she sees as a magical girl?? uhm. chalk it up to cyn being able to do smt abt her vision, haven't decided yet,,

cant have doll without lizzy or V without her squad so lizzy and N and J are in the same sch too !! N and J are in the same grade as V ofc, J has more classes than N and V because.

lizzy and thad are siblings in this au (cuz it sits well w me idk its a fun thought) and they semi-share eye light colours 👍 lizzy went w her dad while thad stayed w the mom, so they grew up in different environments :)

thad and uzi are in the same school !! same grade etc. uzi's more of a loner student and she likes to eat her meals in the school washrooms (don't ask) but if thad invites her she'll eat in the cafetaria w him (as long as his other friends aren't around, she hates them)

uzi's school doesnt know exactly have uniforms?¿ it js came out when i drew her anyway tho 😭 her school is less strict on dress codes so they can wear whatever,, their school is a public one btw

V's full name is Guinevere

N's full name is Angelus

am i reusing names??? yes. yes i am.

More animation! Ragatha spreading the love 💖💗💗

This was a fun one, albeit very difficult. Ragathas patches...her hair...why are you soo hard to animate!!! All has to look 3D, like its Turning in space.

There were many, many very funny cursed frames that I might share soon. But either way I'm really happy how this one turned out aswell, its less exaggerated than Pomnis animation but I was really aiming for cuteness and appeal with Ragatha here.

The way this episode’s opening shows off the group dynamic is so fascinating to me bc it’s the first time we’ve seen them all interact in a more relaxed setting and the differences are staggering. Jax's teasing is more playful than antagonistic, Ragatha is relaxed, Gangle is left alone to doodle, and Zooble appears far more comfortable participating here.

Then Caine shows up and all of that goes out the window. Jax is back to glowering, Ragatha looks tense, Pomni doesn't look like she wants to be there at all, and Zooble is just gone.

This seems to imply that the main thing causing so much group dysfunction is Caine and his adventures. When left to their own devices the cast is calm and supportive but the stress of Caine's adventures causes them to lash out (Jax), overcompensate (Ragatha), fall apart (Gangle), or disassociate entirely (Pomni, Kinger, Zooble.)
